Rogers has a string and an idea that a friend had suggested. He fills a small tub with water, adds liquid detergent, and takes it to his porch. There he ties the string in a loop, dips the loop in the soapy water, and makes bubbles. Mr. McFeely drops by to make bubbles with the string. When Mr. McFeely says that Mary Jo Barron is at Betty Aberlin's house, he and Rogers visit. They sing a few songs with children dancing around the room. Rogers talks to Mary Jo about singing for children. Back at his television house, Rogers talks of trying new things with an adult.
In the NOM, Handyman Negri and Lady Elaine are admiring the purse Queen Sara gave Lady Elaine. He finds a paintbrush in the purse and is about to do work when a turkey flies by to deliver a message. The message, unsigned but bearing the Royal seal, instructs Lady Elaine to bring red and blue banners to the Castle two days from now. Robert Troll's message tells him to find something round near the Platypus mound. It's a balloon that he can't blow by himself. He goes to the Museum-Go-Round, where Lady Elaine inflates the big balloon with her vacuum cleaner. Only then do they read the words on the balloon: "Together today." Alone with Ana Platypus, Lady Elaine thanks her for showing the fancy pair of shoes.
Back at the television house, Rogers empties the tub of soapy water himself and keeps the string for another day. He says that, at the end of a day, he reflects on his visit and thinks of what might occur in the next visit.
