Rogers has been studying the Greek language. He shows a book written in Greek and then writes the Greek word for "love"—agape. Mr. McFeely blows a whistle, alerting Rogers out to the porch. A set of whistles awaits, but Rogers didn't order whistles. When Mr. McFeely checks his computer readout, he finds the whistles are intended for the school. Still, Rogers is ready to hear the whistles at work. He and McFeely try the slide whistle, a train whistle, and one that sounds like a siren. Just then a surprise visitor, Eileen McNamara, drops by. She is an expert whistler, imitating birds and whistling Everybody's Fancy. She explains how she learned to whistle.
Back at the television house, Rogers says he can't whistle well. But then again, no one can do everything well. He goes to the kitchen to set up five of the Original 6 NOM models. Again Rogers quizzes who lives where, but doesn't bring the figurines out. "What have I forgotten?" he asks. He forgot a lot of things, such as the Platypus Mound (not usually left behind), but he goes back to the shelves only for the Trolley. The Eiffel Tower and the figurines of neighbors must wait an eternity.
In the NOM, Robert Troll is conducting a census. He asks everyone he meets their name, address, their favorite color, a signature, and whether or not the neighbor can whistle. This he asks to the Trolley and King Friday XIII. Lady Aberlin, doing research on the wind, agrees to ask Henrietta Pussycat and X the Owl their census questions. Before producing their forms, Lady Aberlin discovers a strong wind very close to the Tree. After filling out census forms, Lady Aberlin finds Daniel is not at the Clock. He, Ana and Prince are planning a school field trip. Lady Aberlin discovers the wind picking up again at the Clock.
