Rogers enters with a flexible piece of tubing that a friend handed to him. "Just twist it any way you want," he said. Rogers shows a picture of Tatiana Vedeneeva. He has been working on a song for her, called We Would Like To Welcome You. Mr. McFeely calls, saying Tatiana will come over in the next ten minutes.
In the NOM, Miss Paulifficate shows Handyman Negri a present Queen Sara had given her: it's the same tubing as Rogers had. Unexpectedly, a visitor arrives in NOM riding a sculpture identical to the tubing. Lady Elaine sees that and believes stars do fall. She, Lady Aberlin and Negri watch the transport land at the Museum-Go-Round. All the creature says is "me" (while pressing his hands to his heart) and "thee" (while extending his hands out). Lady Aberlin and Negri go to inform King Friday. He and Queen Sara extend their services to the visitor. Friday promises to tell the long-worded version of Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.
Back at the television house, Rogers tells of how young people learn language. He explains a translator will help him and Tatiana understand one another. Mr. McFeely enters briefly, introducing Rogers to Tatiana and her interpreter, Masha Nordbye. Tatiana gives Rogers a matrouska doll, with one doll inside another. Rogers shows his sweater closet and the Trolley. He says he uses puppets on his shows. Tatiana shows her TV puppet, Stepashka the rabbit. Masha explains that Stepashka is not like the average shy rabbit found in Russian fairy tales. Tatiana presents a video on how people make Matrouska dolls. Rogers invites Tatiana to feed his fish. He gives Tatiana some apple juice and asks about her five-year-old son. Tatiana shows a picture of him. Rogers plays We Would Like To Welcome You, and Tatiana sings along. Mr. McFeely collects Tatiana and Masha. Before leaving, Tatiana works the Stepashka puppet, saying they want to be good neighbors.
