Rogers unties the strings on the two packages Chef Brockett has given him. One package contains a puzzle and the other its pieces. Put together, the puzzle is a thank-you for the gifts Mister Rogers gave Chef Brockett for his birthday.
In the NOM, Lady Elaine and Handyman Negri talk about the scout jamboree. She's going. He wishes he could, too, but assumes King Friday won't let him. King Friday quizzes him on knot-tying and then gives him permission to go. However, Handyman Negri must first find someone to be handyman for the week. The substitute must be an opera singer whose last name begins with an "R" and has seven letters. Lady Elaine and Handyman Negri figure out that Reardon fits these criteria. At that point Reardon enters the NOM. He agrees to be handyman around the Castle for a week. Mister Rogers demonstrates tying some knots.
