Rogers arrives with a film about bird eggs hatching and explains that eggs from the store do not have chickens inside. Chef Brockett arrives and shows Mister Rogers how to make donuts. In the NOM, Chef Brockett brings the donuts to Dr. Bill Platypus, Digger Digorum, and King Friday. There is talk of Elsie Jean Platypus' forthcoming egg hatching. King Friday, however, is upset because the Platypus egg will hatch before his child is born. He rules that the Platypus family must leave the neighborhood until after his child is born. Edgar Cooke and Chef Brockett play counting games. Back with Mister Rogers, he talks about King Friday's feelings concerning the Platypus hatching.
