In the NOM, King Friday plays the bass violin. X plays the harmonica. The sound upsets the king because it interrupts his own playing. Robert Troll is sent to silence X's music. X is upset that the king won't let him play too. X complains to King Friday, so the king suggests that they play together. Rogers comments that kings are full of surprises when you tell them how you feel. He talks about differences in the physical appearances of boys and girls. He shows the inside of a tomato, a green pepper, a bean, and a cucumber.
