Rogers brings a snow globe, inside which is a mock town with a mock train. He notes that everything about everybody and everything is different (no surprise). A solemn Mr. McFeely enters. He has found a bird that is dead. Rogers finds a box for Mr. McFeely to put it in and bury it in his yard. After Mr. McFeely leaves, Rogers recalls how he felt when he lost his cat Sybil, of whom he shows a picture. He still thinks of Sybil when he pretends of Henrietta Pussycat.
In the NOM, Handyman Negri plays the guitar for the King's wooden birds. Friday asks that Negri play for them every day so they will never die. Handyman Negri learns of a live bird Friday had long ago, called Cherry. Friday shows a picture of Cherry. Handyman Negri ensures King Friday that Mimus polyglottos and Troglodytes aedon will not die, and neither will the King's memories of Cherry. Lady Aberlin is led to the Tree, where she is confused because Henrietta Pussycat is dressed up to be old. She is pretending what will happen when she dies. X shows up, confused by Henrietta's costume. He does not want to discuss dying, saying he will live every day as it comes. Lady Aberlin removes the gray wig from Henrietta's head. Mr. McFeely has a delivery: a plant for Ana Platypus. Lady Aberlin agrees to deliver the plant for him. Ana wants to give the plant to her parents for their anniversary. She shows Lady Aberlin her card. It reads, "I love you, Mom and Dad." At the Clock, Daniel wants Lady Aberlin to play with his truck. He says he does not want his truck to die. Lady Aberlin tells him that the truck, like any toy, was not born, nor does it grow or die. A quick glimpse of the Trolley's extra dimension, and its first for Handyman Negri, shows all the residents of the NOM and Westwood, caring individuals all.
Back at the television house, Rogers reads When Pets Die (unavailable).
