Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • In playing Mrs. McFeely, Betsy Nadas-Seamans is wearing a dark wig, which was not the case on her last visit on February 23, 1989.

  • QUOTES (1)

  • NOTES (3)

    • As a consequence of the edit, the Media Access Group at WGBH needed to rerecord its Descriptive Video Service (DVS) account of this program. Previously, Frances Kelly read all shows that had DVS. The rerecorded DVS did not indicate that this was episode 1696.

    • This was the first week of reruns to begin after Rogers' passing. PBS and Family Communications edited this program slightly at both ends. The revised opening included PBS's 30-second montage of Fred Rogers throughout his career, ending with a still photo of Rogers and the caption "You'll always be our favorite neighbor."

    • This is the first time Rogers returned to the McFeely's house since 1975. All his visits there will take place in 1996 (this week and during "Brave & Strong" week).
