    • TRIVIA (6)

    • QUOTES (3)

      • New York Manager Ralph Houk: I couldn't single out any one player as outstanding. All played their part.

      • Cincinnati Manager Fred Hutchinson: The long ball - that was the difference in the Series. We finally did some hitting in the last game but then our pitching fell apart.
Cincinnati Manager Fred Hutchinson: Our guys did a good job all year. Nobody expected us to win the pennant and we did. As far as the last game is concerned, we just got the hell kicked out of us. But we never quit trying. The National League is a tough league, but if we get efforts like this year, we could win again. The club is set and I am quite hopeful about next year.

      • Cincinnati Right Fielder Frank Robinson: I felt pretty good in the last game and if the Series were longer I think I'd start hitting. But there aren't any more games.
