    • TRIVIA (2)

      • Final Score
        St. Louis 4 Milwaukee 6
        Milwaukee leads series 3-2

      • Milwaukee Brewers' third basemen Paul Molitor became the first player in World Series history to record two four hit games in the same Series. In addition to his four hits in this game, he had five hits in Game 1.

    • QUOTES (3)

      • Milwaukee Starter Mike Caldwell: Fourteen hits is quite a few to give up to be a winning pitcher. I could see they were sitting back on me a little better than they were in St. Louis (in Game 1). They were keeping their weight back, knowing I couldn't put the ball past them. I didn't adjust to them as much as they adjusted to me. But as long as they weren't getting a lot of long hits, all I had to do was keep them from bunching their hits together.

      • (on why he pinch hit Gene Tenace for Ken Oberkfell in the ninth)
St. Louis Manager Whitey Herzog: I knew Obie had three hits, but I wanted to take a crack at the home run and I thought Teance could do it.

      • St. Louis Closer Bruce Sutter: I threw my best pitch and they hit it. There's nothing I can do about it.
