Wow, I hate that the Wing saga ended, but it ended perfectly, AND I still have 3 more episodes (Endless Waltz) to cap it off. We now know what we all had been thinking, Treize and Zechs felt to end war they must scare the need to battle out of humanity, on Earth and in Space. Heero had to be the winner, and that is why Zechs sacrificed himself ;). Heero, the younger generation needed to take center stage and define peace for the solar system. I personally think armament is needed for peace, and I am against no weapons, It just takes a strong person and idiots to follow them into conflict. But, lets not forget the awesome show the pilots gave wrecking the section of Libra that feel off, and Heeros performance in the inhalation of the remnant. The ending was bittersweet, i was still a little peeved it had to end. But, I hear there are some more, good installments in the Gundam series.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (4)

    • Through out the series Heavyarms is the only Gundam from Operation Meteor not to get destroyed completely.

    • in response to above: in gundam wing, the beam weapons all seem to have internal power, because if you look at epyon's beam saber, there is a cable attached to it, one that connects to epyons core. However, thats the only gundam to have such a feature. Plus on a side note, series like 8th MS team take place in an alternate universe.

    • When Heero is about to destroy the reactor for the portion of Libra that broke off from the main body his beam saber ran out of power before he could do this. Yet when he flies ahead of the Libra piece with his twin buster rifle he manages to fire a devastating blast capable of vaporzing it.

As we've seen with the 08th MS Team series, beam weapons are powered by linking up to the Mobile Suit's internal reactor. If the design is the same with Wing Zero then how come the beam saber died out but the buster rifle could still be fired? Is it possible the connection was fried in combat and finally gave out, or are the weapons of the Wing Gundams powered by a battery source stored in the weapons themselves?

    • Near the end of the episode gattling rounds attack the wing zero from off screen, the only other mobile suit around being epyon, who doesn't have any gattling cannons or any projectile weapons for that matter......

  • QUOTES (6)

  • NOTES (5)

    • Original Japanese Airdate: 3/29/1996.

    • After this series the OVA or movie called Endless Waltz was released where basically the characters all come back for one last battle. (This film is not available to buy in the UK but was shown on Cartoon Network UK and later on CNX as a movie and as three episodes). Between these two shows is a four part comic strip filling in the gap between the show and film (which a short search on the internet would find).

    • There was an alternate ending animated, in which Relena reads Heero's note before tearing it up. Screen captures of her reading the note can be found around the Internet.

    • The dropping Libra to Earth to cause an endless winter and The Final Fight between Heero and Zechs are based off the events of the Gundam Movie Char's Couterattack

    • - This is the last episode of the show but after this episode there is an OVA (You can call it some sort of Movie) and you can seperate the OVA in 3 new episodes that follow this episode
