What did you think? Could have gone either way. Thought it was funny, but like Luke's plea for his dad? I knew right away his dad put him up to it. Though how he got "free jelly beans" was pretty funny. The "gather round" to me felt forced and too easy. Two greatest LOL moments for me in this ep.: Manny doing his Mustang cheer, and Claire's line: "Totes adorbs!"

I didn't get the joke at the end "ding a cheddar box"...is there some sexual connotation I'm missing?

He said "a chatterbox." He called Claire that before when Luke was talking, so she said, "Why would you want to have sex with a chatterbox?" like throwing it in his face (in other words, what he said came back to bite him in the butt.)

The ding was something from the first confessional, too.

I agree, it was so blaringly obvious that Phil put Luke up to his "pity ploy" that I cannot believe the other realtor fell for it. When the "big reveal" came at the end, I felt insulted as a viewer.

Still, it was funny overall. I loved the punchline to the story involving Manny's new friend (which I won't ruin here).

And let's face it, they could make a show called "Sofia Vergara, Julie Bowen, and Sarah Hyland Do Nothing For 30 Minutes" and I would watch it.

No offense, I LOVE Sarah Hyland, but what did she do this episode that was funny? Or r u just saying in general you could watch her do nothing for 30 minutes.
