There wasn't a dull moment on this hilarious episode. Phil's dad makes an appearance, bringing along plenty of baggage - both physical and emotional. Jay takes Manny to a horror movie which he doesn't handle very well. Dylan's band loses a drummer, and Cam volunteers to fill in for him.
Fred Willard was great as Dunphy Sr., while the other subplots were just as engaging. Cam as a drummer was amazing, and Manny's reaction to the horror movie was funny too. Another good example of why this show is so highly rated by critics, so I gave it a well deserved nine.
