  • Wow - what an amazing performance by both quarterbacks

I think we sometimes take for granted when we see great athletes play at the levels they do when they do it game after game. We don't usually realize what we had until the player slows down or retires.

I don't think the Colts will be as bad as they were yesterday, but Peyton Manning sure covered over a lot of warts on the team and the things he did became routine when they were anything but. Tom Brady is in the same category. For me, the best in the world make their craft look effortless and for me, nobody does that for the quarterback position as well as Tom Brady. It's a real treat to watch him play.

Chad Henne was very good too, passing for over 400 yards. The game turned on two plays. Miami's failed 4th down gamble would have cut the deficit to seven. The next play, a 99-yard touchdown, made the lead 21 and that was that.

A nice start to the new season.moreless

I thought that there was a chance Tom Brady might have a down year after having one of the all-time great seasons in 2010.....nah. He had the fifth highest passing yards in a game tonight and absolutely ripped apart the Miami Dolphins defense, a d that is actually a little underrated by most. He made one mistake, but it's Week 1, that's okay.

I did not like the announcers drooling over Brady while it was a 14 point game and the Dolphins had the ball though. It was not over at that point. This was still an epic performance though. And they needed it after the Jets and Bills both won this weekend.moreless
