    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (2)

      • The main Zombie Dog singing in the song "Die Evil Zombies!" is actually voiced by Richard O'Brien, "Riff Raff" from "Rocky Horror Picture Show". The song is also an homage to the song "Time Warp" sung by him in the same cult hit movie.

      • Vincent reveals that he suffers from Tourette's Syndrome.

    • QUOTES (2)

      • Marion: Oh, bitterest of ironies! That a landlord of a pub should die by falling out of a car park! Of all places! (chuckles)
Nelson: Marion, you do understand the true meaning of irony?
Marion: Of course I understand the true meaning of irony! (to himself) I do not understand the true meaning of irony...

      • Man: (responding to Destiny's barking) What's that, girl? Someone's been hurt?
Destiny: No, you dick! I said I need a lift home!

    • NOTES (1)

    • ALLUSIONS (4)

      • The basis of Vince's "family spin-off" is based upon The Brittas Empire.

      • Marion: Ah, Wincent, you are a funny man.

Vincent: What d'ya mean, "funny"? How am I "funny"?

This is a parody of the restaurant scene in Goodfellas.

      • Marion refers to sharing a flat with a werewolf, a vampire, and a ghost. This is the basic premise of BBC Three's drama series, Being Human.

      • Horror film allusions:

*The music playing as the dogs chase Destiny is from the 28 Days/Weeks Later films.

*The scene where Nelson and Marion fight the crazed dogs to the tune of Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now" is lifted from Shaun of the Dead.

*Nelson exclaims "George A. Romero!" Romero is the creator of Night of the Living Dead and its sequels.
