I personally believe that the only reason a show should end is low ratings. And while i don't know for sure I think Monk's must still be good. I still think that there's still a lot for Monk to do.

I think that the other major condition to decide when a show should end is looking at the quality.

In one case, if the quality of the show has deteriorated, it should end. On the other hand, however, some shows want to end before the quality of the show deteriorates, which is what the fine people behind Monk have decided to do. They want to go out on a high note, before the show gets stale.

Even though I love the show and will miss it dearly, I think that it was the right decision.

Actually, if you ask me, the quality of the show already has deterioriated since the absolutely stellar second season (though the couple that followed weren't bad at all). Yes, it's time for Monk to go. Though, admittedly, I will still miss it.

I can't wait til the episode with Sharona is on.

To me, if Sharona came back, I would be right back on the Monk Bandwagon and be excited waiting for the next episode as I am for this one with Sharona coming back.

Sorry, but since they went in the direction with Natalie, I have only watched the show from time to time as a time killer, unlike when Sharona was around.

What's funny is, Natalie is Sharona's REAL middle name I believe. Elizabeth Natalie "Bitty" Schram. But that was all that was funny about the new character.

Welcome back Sharona, now I wish you and Monk would stay!!!

If Sharona came back, you could have my seat on the Monk Bandwagon because I'd be leaving if she replaced Natalie at this point. I LIKED Sharona when she was on and I look forward to seeing her ONE more time for closure's sake.

And even more funny, Traylor's middle name is Elizabeth.

The show is ending because Tony did not want to do it anymore. The network didn't end it. I will miss it very much.

So do most people, but it's just Monk's time. They ended it before it got stale and on a good note (even though I still feel the whole "Trudy had a baby thing" was the most cliche thing in the world)
