Got to love this show. Monk change of mood with the anticipation of vengeance was hilarious.

I wasn't to impressed by the opening, and thought I wouldn't like the episode based on the premise, but it actually turned out to be a really good one. I like the murder / mystery element that they introduced, and thought that the story flowed really well. Loved the mood they put Monk in, although he doesn't quite 'win' in the end.

It was a good episode overall, even though it (in my opinion) is the weakest of the new episodes.

Definitely, one of the funniest episodes ever. I laughed so many times

Also, I love, how Natalie clings to Monk during the end of few last episodes.

I really like the plot twist with the twin sister.

    Didn't like it.

Mr. Monk being terrified at the bully 40 + years later and wanting a note from Dr. Bell was cringe-worthy. He was acting much too pathetic and weak (He could always look Dale the Whale in the eye).

The episode stepped up somewhat after the murder - the scene when the evil twin was trying to drown her sister was funny.

    Scream for help.
    "What's that?" Natalie
    "Probable Cause" Stottlemeyer, rushing in.

Dr. Bell: Wait..You're not going to forge my signature are you? My mom and I liked that part. But I didn't care too much for this episode as a whole. I'm also a little surprised they didn't reference the time they were following Leiland's ex-wife around. But at least she didn't have an evil twin. Kinky.

    I really liked this ep!

But I had one problem, in this episode they said that the main torment that Monk was put through was the swirlie. Yet back when Benjy was on the show, where Benjy saved a smaller kid who was getting a wedgie. Monk said that they called them an "Adrian" when he was growing up. Shouldn't they have kept with the wedgie theme instead of doing the swirlies?

Of course, being a 20 year tv watcher, most shows don't pick up & continue little plot quotes like that do they.

Still very cool & I hope we see little Monk again, I'm sure there were other bullies that tormented Monk.

Just giving my opinion here but I think the swirlie thing was to show Monk had various torments inflicted onto him. The point is it didn't have to be a wedgie for it to make more sense. I know it was not a "serious" thing but more of a nitpicky (or something like that). I just didn't see anything "wrong".

At first I didn't care for the episode -- I thought they made Monk act like too much of a jerk, something they do too much lately.

Then I saw it again and began to appreciate it for at least two reasons:
    (1) I liked the acting of the "Bully."
    (2) Lately the "Monk" episodes have a theme or moral to them, often a good lesson. In this episode, the bullying incidents of the past had a great lingering effect on Monk, but the Bully virtually forgot about them, didn't see them as particularly harmful. As the present day case progressed, Monk was complaining a lot to the Bully and trying to hurt his feelings in various ways, but all this passed over the Bully's head. The Bully remained confident in and friendly towards Monk. I liked that.
