Who do you think is better. I liked Sharona she did a great job playing off Tony. Why did she leave the series?

I like them both. They each have their things.

Doesn't Sharona seem to give him more attitude? I thought that was interesting. It was like she had limits to his 'condition'.

I really liked Sharona too. I was upset to see her go. I didn't think the show would be the same, but I have to admit Natalie is a pretty good replacement. And why did Sharona leave??

I like them both but I prefer Natalie. She added a breath of fresh air when the show was lagging a bit.

There are a few theories as to why Bitty Schram, who plays Sharona, left. Some say it was a salary dispute. The creators, though, say it was a mutual decision, and they had a new idea for where the show was going.

I really like Natalie a lot, and the actress that plays her (Traylor Howard). When I first started watching Monk, Bitty had already left. But lately they've been showing old reruns (reruns that have Sharona in them), and I gotta say -- Bitty/Sharona was very, very funny.

I'd still go with Natalie because i'm biased, but Sharona was great also.

I agree completely that Sharon was a lot better.
Its not that Nataley is bad, its just that she isn't nearly as interesting as Sharona.
Love the pantyhose that she always wore too.

Natalie! Sooo Natalie! Sherona was getting on my nerves later in the show. But, when I found out she was leaving, I never thought the show would be the same. It's not exactly, but I like it better now!

I gotta go with Natalie. I've seen a lot of episodes with Sharona and although she was a very brilliant character, i like Natalie more because she has more of an attitude. And a lot more sexier i might add...

Sharona for sure. Natalie doesn't seem to have a connection or chemistry with Monk like Sharona did. I really miss the Sharona character.

    Scoreboard.Natalie 1,Sharona 0.
Natalie was chosen,Sharona chose to leave.
I had forgotten how irritating Sharona could be until the marathon.
The one where she is on the phone to her new boyfriend (I think 12 Juror)she was really grating.
Traylor is a part of the cast not someone trying to steal the scenes.
    Sharona was a cartoon,Natalie is a person

Natalie is so much better for the show for many reasons. I think Natalie is great. Sick of hearing about Sharona, she had her chance and lost. Thank God

I like Sharona's badass attitude, and the chemistry between her and Randy. As for Natalie, she's good, but seems detached from the captain and Randy.

Sharona, without a doubt, she made the sow edgier and wittier. Natalie just babies Monk and drags the show into a sappy drama.

They never toldĀ us why she left the show, but in the episode when you see Natalie TeegerĀ there was a note that said she remarried her ex-husband and moved to New Jersey.

I enjoyed Sharona during her time and still mourn the obvious blossom of romance between herself and Randy.

Perhaps the chemistry was so good that it would have drawn from Monk...which is the point of the show. But that's just a theory and not fact.

I thoroughly enjoy Natalie as a character. She brings a new perspective to Adrian's life. I think she can respond to Monk the same way Trudy use to. She sympathizes and gives in, but knows her limits with him...something Trudy must have had to do in order to be married to him! As far as romance, if you remember some portions of season 4, they attempted the road of romance with Randy and Natalie, but it was stale and nothing compared to what he and Sharona had. (possibly what they were hoping for.)

Nat and Adrian have chemistry. But it's a sweet chemistry that could open up the door to a sweet and innocent romance if ever the writers decide to venture down that path and give fans closure. But of course that is up to them. If they don't fans will survive and keep it forever in their minds of what could have been. (My apologies for the novel!!!!)

I think Nat and Monk definetely have chemistry and I would love to see the two of them end up together. I hope the writers decide to go that route
