  • Execellent plot twist at the end! The bar has been raised a little higher!

Oh, my! Dale the Whale (Adam Arkin) directed this one! Is that why it's so appealing? In "Mr. Monk and the Other Woman", Adrian becomes interested in a woman that closely resembles his wife, Trudy, but before long, the woman starts being accused by Captain Stottlemeyer and the others as the primary suspect in a homicide... but a HUGE plot twist is waiting in the wings as it is revealed that a more obscure, gangly-haired man that almost resembles Grima Wormtongue from "The Lord of the Rings", is revealed to have put together a phony will, and broke into a lawyer's office to ADD a file, not to steal.

A terrific mystery, and the best Season One episode yet!
  • this was a good ep

in this ep monk theripist try to get out and try to find out someone eles since his wife has been gone for 4 years. and in this ep monk finds a women that reminds him of trudy and understands him very well . well anyway in this story monk must figure out why a lawer was murder and the assitant and why they broke in the first the place it leads them to belive at first its a guy next store but he gets killed and then they think its the girl monk is seeing . but its a big twist at the end and its really good ep i thought.
  • This is one of the funniest episodes from the first year. Monk encounters a woman who not only reminds him of Trudy but understands him so very well. The mystery is secondary to Monk's infatuation.

This is a cleverly written and very funny episode. When Monk sees Monica's garage he is in awe. Everything is organized just as he would organize it if he had a garage. when he goes out to eat with her, he asks for separate plates for each of his entrees. "You don't like for your food to touch?" she asks. With bravado he replies, "Most people don't want their food to touch, they just don't have the courage to ask.

When asked to stay at her house to keep Monica safe, his response is a simple question, "A sleepover?" To this overnight stay, he brings two large suitcases, including his own sheets.
