M.O.N.Y. follows the life of an average Joe who suddenly finds himself in the position of the mayor of New York. The pilot is directed by Spike Lee.

The lead role, the mayor of New York, will be played by Bobby Cannavale who has previously played in the NBC series Third Watch. Amy Ryan (The Wire) has joined the cast as Marcie Futterman, the Mayor's funny, attractive private secretary.

The series was created by Tom Fontana and Barry Levinson and is produced by The Levinson-Fontana Company and NBC Universal Television Studio.moreless
