  • While covering a serial killer's execution for BuzzWire Beth befriends a young woman she is able to bond with because of the shared terrors of their past. While she and Mick try to protect her Beth discovers the true identity of her guardian angel.moreless

Maybe the creepiest of all of the episodes, but still a great one. The end scene where Beth confronts Mick is one the best Mick/Beth scenes of the series, in my opinion. You also get to see a little more acting range of both Alex O'Loughlin and Sophia Myles in that scene when they both get really emotional - Alex even looks about to cry! I love this episode because of parts like that - my husband loves it because we get to see more of Mick's bad-ass side. Then again, I have to admit I love it when he swoops in at the last possible second and saves her - yet again:)

Does anyone know the name of the song that is playing when Beth finds her file in Mick's office???moreless
  • beth protects a young women from a serial killer and beth finds out that mick has been stalking her since she was young.

this episodes was really freaky and scary. a young gril that is younger than beth is being protected by beth because she believes that her killer was coming after her even though he was sentence to death. beth asks mick for help because a killer tried to kill the young girl. mick was such a very nice guy he didn't mind helping beth at all. while mick allows beth and the young girl stay at his house to stay safe while he goes out and hunts shepered. beth goes into his office to just look around. she finds the case files and ends up finding her self. which i was very surpised that she didn't get mad at mick instead she kissed him and he walked away very upset.moreless
  • While doing a story about a man on death row, Beth meets one of his victims. Beth, fearing for the girls life after being followd home and attacked enlists Mick's help to protect her when the Girl swore it was the man who put to death following her.moreless

    9.5
This is yet another great episode. A little darker than most due to some of the characters. They were quite creepy, especially some of the followers. A fine plot once again brought Mick and Beth together in a convincing manner, in the form of an evil psycho killer turned vampire seeking revenge for his death sentence. The guy really sent chills down your spine in the scenes that he was stalking Audrey. A good use of flashbacks once again to set the scene, very well done.

The fight scene at the end i thought was really well done. It was scary and action packed, which was really entertaining.

The ending was really good for character development and i feel that by Beth confronting Mick about what happened all those years ago, it will bring them even closer together.

Another great episode and if your a fan, one not to be missed.moreless
  • After last weeks little let down this show picked my spirits up and sent them soaring.

A condemned man is turned by a Roman Catholic Priest into a vampire. He lives through his execution and escapes jail, hunting his enemies, a woman who saw her family slaughtered by him as a child and a movie producer who bought the rights of this despicable man's life to make a movie. Beth watches the woman while Mick tries to find the newly turned vamp. The most tearful part of the movie is the ending. Beth lets Mick know that she is aware that he saved her as a child. Mick is in tears! Beth tells him he had to kill a woman he cared about to save her but Mick says he might have done it anyway. Beth says, maybe he would have but that night he did it to save her. The very end made me cry and hungry for more.moreless
  • Beth finally realizes it was Mick who saved her years ago from his crazed wife.

It's another bad vampire that needs to be dealt with. Beth makes her feelings for Mick even more evident to the girl she is protecting from this bad vampire. She says she is having problems with her boyfriend. She has been distracted. You bet she has! Check it: With Mick! The girl and Beth end up at Mick's hiding while Mick goes Vampire hunting. Beth finds the file from where Mick rescued her. The bad vampire finds them and Mick cuts his head off. On the balcony there is a touching moment as Beth tells Mick she knows it was him who saved her. It was such a touching moment. It made me cry. She kisses his cheek. The sun is up and he walks away, leaving Beth alone on the balcony. Did he just dump her?moreless

    • Mick: (voiceover) You humans have your own coping mechanisms when something goes wrong. Some of you obsess, some become vengeful. And, of course, some of you block the whole thing out.

    • (in Jerry Drake's office, Mick picks up the sword lying on the stand)
Jerry Drake: You don't want to touch that.
Mick: This feels real! Is this from that, um, Sword and Sandals thing that you did?

    • Mick: (voiceover) Unfortunately, all that fresh blood in the air...sometimes makes it hard to distinguish who's still here.
      (Shepherd attacks from the shadows)

    • Shepherd: Come on, two vampires and two lovely ladies-- in my day, we called that a party.
Mick: Yeah, well, I outgrew that phase.

    • (Beth and Audrey are discussing her kidnapping)
Audrey: Is that what you did when you said you learned to block out what happened to you?
Beth: Um sort of but I…I also had something to grab on to. Someone…the man who saved me, he was fearless. It was terrifying. But as long as I was in his arms, I knew I was safe.

    • Jerry Drake: So, Mr. St. John, my time is money. I know a lot of people say that, but I actually had my accountant run the numbers. (Looks at his watch) You're ten grand in the hole.
Mick: Wow and me without my checkbook.

    • (Mick is interrogating Shepherd's cult member in Beth's bathtub)
Shepherd's family member: I have rights!
Mick: You broke into a private home. I have the right to shoot you. I'm still considering that option!

    • Beth: I was kidnapped when I was 4. I don't remember much, not faces. But I-I do have dreams…and, uh, flashes. Sometimes they can seem very real.
Audrey: So you keep reliving your past?
Beth: More like I block it out. It's the only way I can keep sane.

    • Mick: If you guys get hungry—
Beth: (interrupting him) We'll order in.

    • Beth: (about Mick letting Audrey stay with Beth at his place) This is really nice of you.
Mick: Mi casa, su casa. That's Spanish, by the way, for "Keep her out of my stuff."

    • Beth: (to Mick) It's ironic. Audrey's demon was in prison and she never felt safe. The police never found the woman who took me, but somehow I always felt safe.

    • Mick: (Voice over) A lot of those lost souls took Shepherd's call for blood seriously. Family values at its worst.

    • Mick: (Voice over) When most guys have house guests, the check list is obvious: anything moldy in the fridge, any private magazines left out….. For me it is a little more complicated (As Mick washed out a glass he used to drink blood)

    • Mick: (Voice over) The priest converted him alright, drained him in confession and turned him in final prayer.

    • Mick: (Voice over) Given the complex history of religion and vampires; a church is not where you'd expect a vamp to find sanctuary.

    • Mick: (voiceover) To humans, blood just smells coppery, like a jar of pennies. But to a vamp, it's full of smells. The fear felt when it was shed...and the joy of the one who shed it.

    • Beth: I know who saved me when I was a little girl.
Mick: I think you've known for a while.
      Beth: Maybe I have.
Mick: What else do you know?
Beth: That he had to kill a woman he cared about.
Mick: Maybe he would have done it anyway.
Beth: Maybe. But that night he did it to save me.
Mick: How was I supposed to tell you?

    • Beth: I just wished ... I just wished he'd talked to me.
Mick: First I murder my wife, and then I stalk you. It just gets better and better huh?
Beth: No. I could have lived my life in fear. But somehow I always felt safe. Now I know why.
Mick: Now you know why it can never work.
Beth: All I know is, ever since I met you, I've stopped using the word "never".

    • Shepherd: (final words before his execution) Power can lead a man down a dangerous path. It can blind him to things like reason, kindness, mercy. I've had many years to think about my actions, my choices, things I've done. I don't regret a bit of it. I seek no forgiveness. Just the blood of those who crossed me...and you know who you are. I will live on...and you...will die screaming my name.

    • Mick: You have every right to be angry.
Beth: I'm not angry. I found my guardian angel.

    • Shepherd: I thought you were dead.
Mick: Looks like neither one of us is dying easy.

    • Shepherd: You don't seem surprised to see me alive.
Beth: I know what you are.
Shepherd: If you know what I am, why are you fighting when you should be begging?

    • Beth: So how do you start a manhunt for a dead man?
Mick: You clarify the dead part.

    • (As Mick is leaving)
Mick: I would recommend not going into the office.
      Beth: Okay
Mick: Okay… Or upstairs. Or through the grey door
Beth: Wow, this all sounds so Alice in Wonderland!
Mick: Beware of the bottles that say drink me, okay?
