  • Mick and Beth team up to try and catch a teenage vampire who preys on innocent escorts.

A brilliant episode that encompasses the growing bond between Beth and Mick. The plot is sound and brings the two leads together in a realistic situation. This is done in order to display their growing bond. This episode helps to integrate Beth into Mick's everyday life, and brings her into contact with Konstantin, who plays an important role in Mick's life. This adds to the potential of the growing relationship between Mick and Beth. This episode also delves more into the fears on vampires. Through the anguish of the teenage vampire in his inabilty to ever 'grow up' and Mick feeling his pain we are able to see in more intricate detail the way Mick's mind works. His hopes and fears. I believe this to be a great episode for character growth. Especially as we see Beth acknowledge the special and growing bond between Mick and herself.
  • A vampire stuck looking young forever preys on escorts.

Mick is asked to look for a missing girl, and ends up finding her dead room mate first. Beth is on the case of the dead room mate, and it appears that she was attacked by a vampire. Of course Mick is trying to avoid Beth because of things that happened in the previous episode but it seems as if they are pulled together by some invisible source. They end up working the case together, as they hunt down their vicious vampire. It was a very good episode, one that will leave you wanting more Moonlight the moment it is over.
  • A teen vampire who looks the age of 16 but really is 200 years old kills escorts all over L.A. Mean whlie mick keeps avoiding beth because he feed on her on the last episode.

i was so happy and sad at the same time when i realized that cbs isn't going to allow any more renus of moonlight to be shown i hope it more will show. anyway mick keeps on voiding beth because he almost died and she made sure that didn't happen so she allowed him to suck on her blood. now beth is the one that keeps on calling him and calling him he won't allow him self to answer and say a hello. so if he won't say hello fate comes to the resuce and make them meet each other in down town l.a. then again. beth wonders why do they keep meeting each other mick acts like he doesn't know but beth doesn't understand why he feels so unsure around and has him work with her to find the missing escort so in that way mick can find the teen vampire who kills the escorts. the best part that i thought was really cool is in this episode josef finally meets beth for the first time. i loved who he kept his eyes right on her but you can also tell who protective mcik is on beth. you can tell that when mick held on to beth he might have told josef his best friend to back off that is so hot of beth and very kind. the last 2 minutes were the most hottest and sexy 2 minutes i ever saw mick and beth first kiss you can tell beth might have been in love with mick cause she smacked 2 kisses on him, you can just tell how happy mick was i am going to miss watching his smiles i hope their will be more episodes.
so this is what i shall say.............

  • Mick and Beth "bump" into each other again when trying to track a murdering 200-year old vampire stuck in his teens. Another fantastic episode!

    9.0
This show just keeps getting better and better every week. It is fast becoming my guilty pleasure since I'm normally not interested in fantasy and/or vampire themed productions. But Moonlight has been very addictive so far! This week, I didn't dig the case nearly as much as I digged the scenes between Beth and Mick. How much more likeable can this almost-couple get? Mick does everything to avoid Beth but fate doesn't seem to allow him. "You can run but you can't hide." Very true! The conversation about vampires and sex was amazing, especially the "Your parents never told you?" line from Mick. All the romantic tension between Mick and Beth this episode would've killed me if it didn't result in something. And it did! Beth kissed a puzzled and enormously cute Mick in the parking lot and then scurried off. Sigh... More please!
  • Very cool eppy

    10
What an awesome episode. I did feel empathy for the Vampire Boy. I mean, to be stuck at that awkward age for all those years would be horrid. I think the show is doing a fine job with the sexual tension between Beth and Mick. I love all the characters in this show, Mick and Josef being my two favorites. I hope we get to see more of Josef and get to delve into his past a little bit. I'd like a few more flashbacks of Mick as well. That's always fun!!! This was an excellent episode, this show is definately not disappointing, can't wait for next week!!!
  • wow he tries and tires to avoid her. she brings up a conversation on sexuallity and he tries to ignore it. but as he always says the past always comes back to haunt you.

    9.9
i have been begging since the 3rd episode for them to atleast flirt. because she allowed him to feed on her. my gosh i am so happy i was like feeling sad. cause i saw her in the parking lot and i was like. 'no no come on have them spot each other or call out to one another'. but i wasn't expecting for them both to actully be at each others faces. this was an awesome episode. I did think it was a little slow it needs more blood showing and actually vampire action but other than that it was great. but my gosh when beth did that phone call she knew she was thinking about mick that is why she was looking at him while she did the call. now comes the next step actual touching and none of that i feel bad for her crap i mean i want her and i want him type of thing. my gosh what a great kiss she kissed him twice and it was very romantic. We never had a show where less than 5 episodes later a human and a vampire kiss twice that just made me cry a river because i thought that was so hot and very steamy.
  • A 194 year old teenager is looking for love in all the wrong places.

    10
A young vampire has trouble finding love. He ends up quite frustrated and usually killing his intended partner. Mick and Beth team up again to work the case. The boy just wants someone to return his affections and being a teenager himself he wants a little hanky panky. He chooses escorts for some unknown reason to find love and it doesn't work out too well. The ending of the show is anticlimatic since we never get to see Mick lead him down the straight and narrow on the subject of love. I loved the episode though, the action, the grit, the longing to meet the right one.
  • This was one cool show!

What do you get when you put in some punk rock music, a roller coaster and a boardwalk? Lots of fun! It's another bad vampire that needs to be dealt with. Again Beth and Mick end up working together. We see more of Josef and his lust for Beth in this one. Josef is Mick's best friend. Check this out! This is a teen age vampire who wants a girlfriend. He hires escorts and then kills them when they rebuke him. At night when the boardwalk is closed it becomes a battle between the teen ager and Mick. The rollar coaster finally cuts the head off the teen vampire. Then at the very end: check it: Mick and Beth kiss. Okay, Beth kisses Mick. But Mick doesn't stop it!
  • I classified this ep as silly because it was. It was good. It was silly.

    8.9
I like adventure just like anyone else. So the writers almost got it right like they did in Fever. They went awry when they just didn't find a girlfriend for the teen "who thinks about sex 20 times a minute". It's still unclear if vampires can have sex so maybe thats why the kid bit the heck out of all his victims. This is never fully explained, a writers' flaw in many episodes. Of course Beth wants sex with Mick St. John. She still hangs out with her b/f Josh but her eye is wandering to Mick St. John. Naturally.
  • A teen vamp is horny and can't find a girlfriend so he turns to escorts

    9.0
The show has it's moments, the converstation between Mick and Beth about sex, the roller coaster scene where it seems Mick gets his poor butt beaten again. The way Mick uses his heightened senses to track the teen vamp and his escort. The beheading of the teen vamp. But I was confused about a few things. Beth blows off Carl, her usual confident for police information. And I wondered why the teen vamp just never turned another teen or found a teen vamp his age. Is it possible once a vampire you can't have sex? Beth and Mick will find a way!
  • This show was totally kewl!

    10
It had a rockin sound track with The Used and the Bravery being the best. Mick and Beth hunt a teenage vampire who so badly wants to get laid but also wants a girlfriend. He turns to escorts trying to find the answers to his needs. Since he is so young the escorts want little to do with him or get it over and done with. He wants to play games, ride roller coasters and basically be boyfriend/girlfriend but the escort of his choice doesn't have time. You can see he is broken hearted. Mick saves the escort and later on a roller coaster track he and the teen vamp fight. Mick St. John takes a pretty bad beating and it's a slip on grease that seals the fate of the teen vampire. The escort is later reunited with Mom and Dad at Buzzwire. Mick can no longer contain his feelings for Beth and vice versa. There is the inevitable kiss. And Mick St. John's sheepish scream just as the scene fades to black. Another week until another episode! Life seems so unfair!
  • Why the Show is Worth Watching...

    10
I dunno what it was about this episode which really hit a chord with me. Maybe it was the overall theme about "fate" and taking chances. Beth's move to kiss Mick was not only pivotal, it was clear where the heart of show rests. It's not just about a vamp who is a private eye trying to hold onto the things that made him happy while as a human. Nor is it a story about some pretty blond news correspondent with a traumatic youth experience. It's more than what we see for face value onscreen.

The underlying importance between Mick and Beth is the fact they are in their own ways very isolated people. We see this as Beth's own personal circle of friends consists of Mick and Josh. She rarely has time to herself, she's a work-a-holic and she has no other gal pal to confide in. Hell, at least Mick has Josef.

Mick's sense of isolation comes from hating what he was forced to become: a vampire.

Naturally, when the subject of fate is thrown and we have to very determined and stubborn individuals...sparks will fly.

This episode made it clear to me that no matter Beth or Mick's status are with their partners...fate has a way of bringing these two together constantly.

As a fan, I watch this show as a weekly treat to unwind and just enjoy television. If this episode is any indication of where the series is going, then I'm more than happy to continue being a loyal viewer.
  • In this episode I found that at showed how it really doesn't matter who is a vampire or human. Each has problems with their feelings!

    9.7
I really enjoyed this episode. The two main characters are realizing what real affection means for each other. One is trying to keep it cool so he doesn't need to admit and realize how much she means to him and Beth, well, she shows that she is stronger because she can face up to haw she feels. The surprise kiss she gives him at the end of the show and his shocked expression was the perfect way to end because it makes you want to know how these two are going to react in the next episode! Should be interesting!
    Until next time.
  • Even Mick is avoiding Beth, they end up cooperating again.

    8.7
I realise I'm probably in the minority here, but I wish the ending of this episode hadn't happened. It's probably inevitable that Mick and Beth end up in some sort of relationship (though I still wish they won't) but I didn't think it fair that she kissed him while in a relationship with Josh, who seems a more than decent guy who deserves better than this.

I liked the kid vamp storyline. In series like this one, the vamp is often portrayed as some sort of heroic (Buffy may be the exception as the vamps were the enemy there, but still, it had Angel) but if someone is turned at age 16 and stuck forever in adolescent hell, I can imagine that this would not be the glamourous life lived by other vamps, such as Josef for instance...
  • This episode is exactly why I watch this show. It has all the elements one wants when watching television. Mick and Beth have to deal with the consequences of her saving his life, on top of a horny teenage vampire.

    9.6
This show was perfect. We can feel Mick's pain when he tries to avoid Beth to protect her from danger - or atleast that's what he tells himself. They run into each other in the hospital and it's awkward -- even Beth's boyfriend Josh picks up on it. They both start working on separate cases, but are soon drawn together, leading Beth to question why he was avoiding her. Why, even when they are working two completely unrelated cases, they still are brought together. After deciding to work together to close both of their cases, they manage to bring a missing girl home to her parents and stop a deranged killer.

The end of the episode brings in more storyline possibilities as well as more problems and viewer love
  • Another strong episode

    7.0
Most new shows lose viewers after initial interest. "Moonlight", on the other hand, has slowly but surely gained a significant following, and the ratings are creeping up, inch by inch. After so many poor reviews from the critics, particularly for the pilot, word-of-mouth appears to be working wonders. If CBS can be patient, this could be a strong performer (or at the very least, a consistent one).

This particular episode is still devoted to fleshing out the world of "Moonlight", cementing many of the rules and pushing the Mick/Beth romance just a little further. The writers are letting the two of them fall into a slow spiral together, still apart but bound together more and more tightly with each new situation. This fits the general "paranormal romance" novel, as one would expect, and underscores their mutual importance to one another.

In terms of the premise, it's always fun to delve into the implications of vampirism in each new incarnation. By loosening the prohibition on sunlight while still setting limits, the show breaks out of the need to set the action exclusively at night. It also blurs the line between the worlds of human and vampire, allowing for more believable overlap and concealment. That is used to strong effect in this episode.

Now we have another example: the human desires and conditions of the body at the time of turning remain with the vampire, with the specific vampiric desires and demands layered on top of what was already there. The villain in this episode was a teenager struggling with severe acne and raging hormones. It's no wonder that this would be a problem. Mick suggests very strongly that sexual behavior is possible, but it seldom ends well; the lust for blood must become overwhelming under such circumstances.

Mick St. John was a strong character from the start; the rest of the cast is quickly getting up to speed. Josef continues to be one of the best elements, and Sophia Myles is much better in this episode. She's becoming more comfortable with the accent, and the chemistry between Mick and Beth is gaining ground. Even as a male viewer, this is the most compelling aspect of the series, which is a testimony to the success of the premise.
  • An awesome episode, but let down at the end.

    8.5
I loved this episode. I really liked the idea of fate, and how it seems everything that happened in the episode kind of tied in with the destiny idea. and I loved that Mick and Beth's relationship went to the next level, but I think the way that the kiss was presented was cliché. I didn't really like it, but I'm excited to see what happens later in the season. Hopefully the writers will be a little more original. I just think that the kiss could have been presented in a more interesting and original way, but I do love this show, and I love telling everyone how amazing it is.
  • I was hooked now Im addicted

    9.9
as usualy the story had two sides - the professional and the oh so more interesting personal one. the professional part was interesting with yet another unusual criminal and the final "battle" was really exciting with a great choice of music underlining it. I felt kind of sorry for the bad guy for a while there. and the family reunion part with Beth refusing to tape it was a nice touch. the personal side was yet again more interesting. the tension between Mick and Beth is now becoming visible and people notice - poeple like best friends and the boyfriend. it was very believable and Im glad they are not dragging it along. the pace seems plausible and makes you want to watch what happens next even more. the chemistry between Alex & Sophia helps too. last but nor least: I loved the intensity of Jason Dohring. he doesnt get much screen time but he takes advantage of every single second. and I finally got my wish in the form of Josef/Beth interaction - I want more of it.
  • Mick shows his human side and vulnerability in a nicely written pivotal episode. Despite his vow to stay away from Beth, fate throws them together as they investigate their seemingly separate cases. Beth doesn't allow Mick to avoid her or his feelings.

    9.9
This is why we (and Beth) love Mick. In this episode, he shows the very human side of his nature. He's honorable and sexy, of course, but he's also very vulnerable in this episode. Despite his attempts to stay away from Beth to avoid entangling her in his life, fate conspires to throw them together.

Mick's obvious discomfiture when he sees her at the medical clinic was cute. Later on, the scene at the morgue, was both funny and sweet when Beth challenged him to deny that something intimate happened between them.

They work so well together solving crimes and their chemistry is undeniable. Beth steals a key piece of evidence at the murderer's apartment right under the noses of the cops. One of my favorite scenes is when Beth arrives at Josef's place to impersonate the murder victim on the telephone to shake loose a lead. Mick presents her with a bit of possessive pride to his friends. The other two men stare at her intently, as if imagining how good she might taste - literally. It's the last scene that is so pivotal. The dumbfounded expression on Mick's face when Beth kisses him was priceless. The stunned look after the second kiss was so sweet but the jubilant grin afterward was, well...wow. I don't think he'll be able to stay away from her now.

I wonder how things will end for Beth and her boyfriend, Josh. I guess we'll just have to tune in next week.
  • Mick is trying EVERYTHING to avoid Beth but the universe wont let him.

    9.7
Moonlight is my new favorite show, and it's epi's like this that make me love it! After last week's 'happy hour' with Beth, Mick seems to be trying everything he can to avoid her. He takes a job that is sure to have nothing to do with her. A mother and father looking for their teen. She came to the sunny side looking for fame and she found herself on a website for escorts. But the cosmo's have a diff. plan for Mick and Beth and once again they're thrown together in order to solve the case and stop a sex crazed 16 yr old Vampire. (16 going on 200)
Mick tries to relate to this kid who seems to be of the mind he's the only one whose dealing with these issues. I can see where he's coming from the poor guy gets to stay in puberty forever.
Well after a very cool fight on a rollercoaster the boys worries are ended...he looses his head over the whole thing *lol*
After reuniting the teen with her parents Mick ducks out of some time with Beth only to have the cosmos step in again and push them together - whose keys fall that far under a car?!? The KISS! Was amazing! I clapped I really did!
  • Life simply isn't going to allow Mick to steer clear of Beth, no matter how hard he tries.

    10
By far the BEST episode yet! The chemistry between all the characters has improved immensely and Sophia Myles seems less stiff. My fav scene is when Josef meets Beth...man the way he just stares at her with such intensity (and other non-printable thoughts!)...WOW! Jason Dohring is simply excellent and the banter between him and Mick is slick yet engaging. My 2nd fav part is the morgue scene. Just the short dialogue of Mick asking Beth what she's doing and she repeating the same thing to him, I thought the casualness of the conversation mixed with the friendly, albeit loving, smile on Mick's face was very nice. I'm really digging Alex O'Loughlin's subtlety and how it gives us an insight into his compassionate side.

    Well done everyone!!
  • Mick is searching for a missing girl at the same time Beth is researching a seriel killer that has the mo for a vampire. They keep ending up at the same place unaware that the other is going to show.....

    10
This was a fantastic episode. There was intrigue with hunting the teenage vampire- and part of me felt sorry for him- being stuck forever an awkward teen with acne. But in the end he was truly evil and got the ending he deserved. Mick is a very strong lead male but also gentle and very charasmatic. I love that Beth is not afraid and wishy washy. She knows what she wants and is going for it. The DA is too tame for her. It was very funny romantic in the scene where Beth was confronting Mick on if he were avoiding her. He had a point tho...she does have (or will have had) a boyfriend.... I loved this episode I was on the edge of my seat not just from the action but from the romance.... Bravo once again!!!!

  • Beth show us what she is made of and Mick is in for the ride of his life! Don't miss the last minutes of THIS episode!

    9.3
This episode starts off on a bit of a spiritual (not religious) note. Mick contemplates that while we ARE in control of our own destiny for the most part, the universe will have what it will have when it wants to have it.

In his beginning monologue Mick mentions he's been avoiding Beth with a rather entertaining inflection ("You can want to avoid someone for their own good because, say, you drank their blood out in the desert"). As the universe would have it, Mick runs directly into Beth and her boyfriend DA Joshua Lindsey at the elevator on his way to restock his blood supply. This leads to an uncomfortable scene in which Beth seems to try to disavow the depths of her relationship with Joshua.

Beth: "We're here for a blood test."
Mick: "A blood test? Are you two..."
Beth: "Getting married? No, no. Uh, for this (she shows Mick the puncture wounds where he fed from her in the last episode). Josh thought I might have tetnus. You know, from the chain link fence?"

Mick seems content to keep avoiding Beth, but this week's murder won't allow him to do what he believes to be the right thing. The universe, once again, throws them together through a murder.

In the most playful scene of this episode, we get to see Josef and Mick hang out together and talk a little guy vamp talk.

Josef: "So how's it going since, uh, happy hour?" (The gesture with Josef's hand is priceless.)
    Mick: "Fine."
Josef: "Knowing you it means you're avoiding her. You're a romantic in the abstract my friend, but the reality of fang on flesh..."
Mick (blushing): "Look, you said you could help me find the missing girl."

We meet another vampire, Rider England, who works with Josef and the three of them joke around while looking for Mick's missing girl.

Back at Beth's apartment, we see she and Joshua have invited friends over to celebrate their one year anniversary as a couple. Unfortunately, Josh let's on to Beth that he's seen the way she looks at Mick. While he tells her to go follow her story lead instead of waiting until the next morning, his tune is different once in the hall outside the apartment. His jealousy leads him to believe Mick has called to sweep her away from their party. She corrects Joshua by telling him it's her contact from the morgue who called and we see the trust between the two begin to crumble.

As the universe would have it, while Beth is looking at the dead body and assessing the wounds were caused by a vampire, Mick and the parents of the missing girl show up to identify the body. You can see Mick is aware that Beth is nearby as he notices her scent in the room the minute he enters it. After everyone leaves, they finally get down to discussing what happened in the desert.

Beth flirts with Mick as she not so casually mentions she's looking for a sexual predator. Mick confirms it's a vampire and a very frustrated one at that. He, however, is there looking for the escort. Beth pulls him out into the hall to confront him. While Mick tries to lie his way out of the conversation ("Wow, vampires make really BAD liars"), Beth forces him to admit that their blood connection has created something more between them. Sophia Myles once again shows us why she's perfect for this role. Her character isn't whiny, she's bold and direct and she interrogates Mick the way she would any source for an article she was writing. She also forces him to respond up to her level. There's nothing better than a no-nonsense girl when it comes to TV relationships.

We get a glimpse at where the real girl is that Mick is looking for as the predator vampire sets a date with her.

In another amusing scene, Beth comes to Josef's apartment where he, Rider and Mick have devised a plan to identify the killer. Josef almost seems to drool when his eyes finally rest on Beth. Rider embarrasses Mick as he reveals that Mick said Beth had a great voice. When she asks what she's supposed to say on the phone to the johns as they go through each phone number, it's Rider who suggest she "do whatever escorts do." She teases the vamp trio by sexily saying "Whatever you want." Beth clearly runs with the big dogs instead of sitting on the porch.

After identifying the killer vampire, Beth and Mick head over to his apartment only to be greeted by FBI agents. While Beth is staring down the barrel of a gun, Mick has forced both of his assailants to the ground. The two leave the apartment with the dead escorts day planner and begin a conversation about the teen vamp. Mick mentions that it's a scientific fact boys of that age think about sex 20 times a minute and this vampire has been stuck at that age for almost two centuries.

Later Beth poses the question of sex and the vampire.

Beth: "So, how does it work any way?"
    Mick: "What?"
Beth: "Just, you know, the sex thing."
Mick: "Your parents never told you about it?"
Beth: "They somehow skipped the part involving vampires."
    Mick: "Oh."
Beth: "Vampires and humans I mean."
(Mick gives her a strange look.)
Beth: "Oh, I'm talking totally hypothetically, believe me."
Mick: "You wanna know how it works? It doesn't. Ok? It doesn't work."
    Beth: "So it's impossible?"
Mick: "It's not impossible, it's inadvisable. It never ends well."
    Beth: "Never?"
Mick: "We're almost there, you should check that number again." (He sighs rather heavily.)

As Mick and Beth finally catch up to their quarry, they part ways as Beth takes the escort off to safety and Mick chases after the 16-year old vamp. When nights falls, the two vampires meet again - this time at the amusement park. As they fight, we see that the 16 year old vampire (who is twice as old in vampire years as Mick) is capable of beating Mick unmercifully, including a vicious bite on his neck. Sexual slip? A show of dominance? We never get to find out the truth about vampire fighting. The older vampire is lost when his head is separated from his body by a roller coaster. The accompanying music fits the action perfectly.

In the final scene we are treated to the another fresh and unexpected moment between Beth and Mick. Beth runs up to the garage to find Mick who has disappeared. In keeping with the theme of the episode, Mick and Beth fumble around verbally like two kids in high school as she accuses him of not saying good-bye. In the middle of his attempt to correct that, she leans forward to kiss him. Beth takes what she wants and after Mick's reaction proceeds to place another kiss on his lips with a tender gesture as she touches his face with her hand. Alex O'Loughlin's expressions through this whole scene are priceless. We almost believe it's the first time a girl has kissed Mick, even though we know he was married when he was turned.

Sex between vampires and humans is rarely portrayed in vampire lore. Usually the long, drawn-out "I can't do it without killing you" is substituted so that we never get the full story about what happens in the intimate moments between vampire and human. The fact that "Moonlight" may or may not fully explore this aspect of vampire life is highly intriguing. I'd like to see it explained in depth. I'd like to see someone TRY to have an outcome other than death.

The act of sex between human and vampire has been explored in so many different ways amongst vampire fan-fiction writers. Unlike Hollywood, they are not afraid to explore plausible opportunities to get through the act without causing death. "Forever Knight" tried to theorize that a female vampire could control herself enough to take sex so slowly she wouldn't be overcome by the hunger and kill her mate. In forum discussion, others have theorized that having a vampire gorge himself on blood before the act would allow him to control himself better (like trying to eat on a full stomach).

I am excited to see which way the writers will go with this. They have been bold in almost every move they have made to date. If they can handle writing a plausible physically satisfying sexual relationship between vampire and human, they may just move to the front of the pack of vampire shows currently on the air. Coming in first is something any "Moonlight" fan would love to see! After seeing the first five episodes, I believe the writing staff is up to the challenge. I know the directors are.
  • Another great episode of Moonlight! I just can't get enough of this show! It would appear that I have it bad because I can't wait for each week's new show and I am watching each episode several times in the interim!

Last week's episode, "Fever", was absolutely top notch and an attention getter. The end with Mick and Beth on opposite sides of the door was a killer of an ending that left you wanting more. This week's episode, "Arrested Development" was great and loved how it played off of things that happened in "Fever" between Mick and Beth and the fact that he was avoiding her BUT it didn't work! He kept running into her. The elevator scene was terrific and you could feel the tension there between Beth and Mick. Even though Josh was standing beside of Beth while her and Mick were talking, it was almost like Josh wasn't there. I liked the part where she said she had left him a message and in the voice over, Mick said it was actually four messages. I love listening to his voice in the voice overs; I think this feature really adds to the show a great deal.

Also loved it when they run into each other at the morgue and they are having a discussion in the hallway about Mick avoiding her and she is asking him to admit something happened between them. Then he said he didn't want to make a big deal out of it and Beth throws up her left forearm and tells him "I fed you!"(this part was great!) Of course, I can't skip the ending with Beth asking Mick why he left without saying goodbye and then she kisses him. Oh my, was this part great or what! And, the grin on his face was awesome!

The storyline for the detective show was a good one but I would have liked to have learned more about the adolescent vampire killer and waht happened to him but I think the whole point was you wanted to feel empathy for the boy but he was such an unlikeable character that was the complete opposite of Mick the vampire as he had no morals and code of ethics. This boy lived for the moment and you knew that although Mick was trying desperately to help him, he didn't want to be helped. He wasn't having any of the vampire solidarity thing that Josef talked about previously. The fight scene between Mick and the youth at the end was good and you were pulled into the supernatural side of the vampire life which definitely made for on the edge of your seat watching. Overall, I must say this was another great episode and I can't wait for next week's show (again)! I read where the ratings were up for this week's episode and once again Moonlight captured the 18-49 coveted bracket for the viewers. YEAH!!!
  • Mick trys to avoid Beth after feeding on her but they end up working with each other while investigating the murder of an escort who may have been killed by a centuries old teenage vampire.

Another Excellent Episode! I thought it was good that the writers chose to explore the idea that when you are "turned" into a vampire you do not magically change into a beautiful unhuman creature. Instead you are stuck where you are when you "died" and if you are not "lucky" enough to be turned when you are young and beautiful like Coraline, Mick and Josef but as an awkward acne laden teen then that's your tough luck. Scary thought! Yikes the whole idea of being stuck as a teenager for centuries makes me cringe. Threaded throughout this episode is the ever growing tension between Mick and Beth and it is interesting to me that of the two Beth is coming across as being the more outspoken and aggressive character. She's the one who volunteered to "donate" blood to Mick in order to save him, afterwhich she's the one who confronts Mick about he's avoidance of her and she's also the one who makes the first move and kisses Mick in the end of the episode. According to the promos she gets even more agressive in next week's episode! Very interesting!
  • Beth puts Mick outside of his comfort zone...

Mick avoids Beth after feeding from her in the dessert, yet Beth is more persistent and eventually she and Mick meet up in two places purely coincidental or is it? I do love the Chemistry between the two Characters and glad to see the sexual tension building. It's great to see Beth making Mick a bit uncomfortable and speechless, but it's obvious with the little smiles that he's enjoying every moment of it. It was humorous to see Joseph (Mick's Vampire Friend) completely enamored by Beth and the little Jealous twinges in Mick's face. I think the surprise in the end, when Mick gave that smile of surprise and triumph just before the show ended, made me smile as well and say, "Oh yeah!"
  • Totally addicting....with a couple of spoilers added in.

OK, if CBS doesn't give Moonlight a full-season order soon, I'm gonna have to start smoking cigarettes...or crack. This show is becoming totally addictive to me. Argh!

I heartily enjoyed this week's episode, and I liked the added touch that hey, even vampires drop their keys sometimes. ;-)

As someone who was a fairly die-hard X-Files fan for a while, I'm glad that the writers are not spending the season on "will they or won't they?" with Beth and Mick. They have been through some heavy stuff together already, so it isn't a big surprise that Beth plants 2 smackeroos on Mick at the end of the episode. However, I *was* surprised, since this normally does *not* happen on TV. (except maybe for sweeps) I hope the writers address some of the fallout in future episodes, b/c in real life there would definitely be some. I have confidence though, b/c the show has done a pretty good job so far in not glossing over the emotional aspect of the characters.

And bless the editing/directing team for allowing one of Alex O'Loughlin's full-fledged smiles to make it into the end of the episode. Bravo!!!
  • Intersting...

I really liked this episode, I thought for sure that Beth and Mick wouldent start kissing until it was closer to the end of the season. Poor Josh, i'm sure he's suspecting that Beth cheated on him. And he's right. I have a feeling that Josh is gonna die or something bad is going to happen to him. He might find out about Mick being a vampire and try to kill him and get killed in the process...But anyway. I really liked the teenage vampire in this episode, I cant help but to feel bad for him though. I wish he could have lived and came in later in the season.
  • I am completely blown away with this show. I can't enough of Mick.

I so loved last night's episode "Arrested Development". The show is slowly pulling you into the lives of its characters. I can't wait for next week's show and its only Saturday. I loved the character Josaf last night and the intensity upon him finally meeting Beth. I absolutely love the chemistry between Mick and Beth. You could feel how uncomfortable Mick was when confronted by Beth about him avoiding her. I like the voice overs that Mick does during the show. He gives you insight that might otherwise be missed. I'm completely blown away by this new show. I loved Angel and am happily surprised that the shows are completely different in tone. Moonlight should stop being compared to Angel. It stands on its own 2 feet.
