  • While investigating the apparent kidnapping of a concert pianist, Maddie bets David he can't be a mature, responsible adult for one week. Guess who wins.

Fed up with David's juvenile office behaviour, Maddie lays down the law-either he shapes up, or else he has to fire those employees deemed as deadwood by Maddie. And let's face it, not too much work gets done around Blue Moon's offices, by the looks of things. If David wins the bet, Maddie has to take part in his Office Limbo shenanigans. This is one of those episodes where the detective aspect of the show actually gets in the way of what we really want to see-David being an ass, and Maddie not tolerating it.Barbara Bain guest stars as the mother of a kidnapped concert pianist who wants her son back-but as cheaply as possible. This is a chance for David to put on his faux-mature guise, and it's a hoot watching him trying desperately to win the bet. Miss Dipesto despairs at the new, grown-up David, telling Maddie she's "de-Daved" him. Willis and Shepherd are in top form here, and it's one of the better written episodes for their rapid-fire banter. A great introduction for anyone who wants to check out the "Moonlighting" experience. Hilarious.moreless
