Davids father contacts his son, and if it wasn´t for Maddie, he probably wouldn´t have been succesful in finding him.

The beginning of this episode, is also the beginning of a new season, and now we know that great things are about to happen in this season. Last season ended with D & M driving away in different directions, and now they´re back. Obviosly they missed each other, Maddie even says it out loud, and David had bought his boss maracas. But then it all gets worse, as David finds out who his father is marrying, it´s a woman Dave Jr had had relations with before. He turns to the bottle for comfort as he thinks noone (Maddie) could understand him. And he´s right.

    Anyhoo...It ends well. :)moreless

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • This is the only episode in which David's father makes an on-screen appearance. He is rarely if ever mentioned again, either.

  • QUOTES (6)

    • (When David's father meets Maddie at the party, he hugs her)

David Sr.: Can I stay here with you the rest of my life?

    • (Referring to Maddie)

David Sr.: How well do you know this woman?

      David: Not well enough.

    • (In the garage. David still doesn't want to go to his father's wedding)

Maddie: But David, that was four years ago.

David: It might as well have been four nights ago... We went there on a Tuesday and came back on a Thursday. We are not talking about a peck on the cheek!

Maddie (very angry): All right, David!

David: I know every-- pore on that woman's body. (Pause) I can't go to that wedding, Maddie.

      (Maddie gets in her car)

Maddie: I don't think I've ever been more disappointed in a human being in my life! (Backs up car) I think you're being selfish, inconsiderate and childish!

(She drives away. David watches the car.)

      David: Great...

    • (In the garage. The detectives argue over why David can't attend his father's wedding. He has certain misgivings about the prospective bride.)

      David: I know her.

Maddie: What you do you mean, you know her? In another context?

David: Yeah. You could say that.

Maddie: Well, what context? What was she, like a friend, or someone you worked with, or--

David: I won her. (Pause) You may find this hard to believe, but there was a time in my life when I was not too discriminating about my behavior. I am telling you I know more about my future stepmother than name, rank and favorite recipe.

    • David: Food's free, liquor's free... You free?

      Maddie: Free? Me?

      David: Free, thee.

      Maddie: Si.

    • David: Don't go!...Forget what I said, Maddie, I need you to stay.
