This is the follow-up to PBS' American Playhouse's Armistead Maupin's Tales of the City. It virtually picks up right after the original ends. (Since PBS declined to make this Showtime stepped up and made it 4 years later and some actors could not return. This once again takes place at Barbary Lane. After Anna's disclosure (she's a transsexual) to Mona, Mona runs off and winds up at a "chicken ranch" in Nevada run by Mother Muccka. Mary Ann and Mouse go on cruise. She meets a mystery man. While Mouse reunites with Dr. John. Brian stays home but starts an affair with a mystery woman across the street. DeDe is having twins and tells Beauchamp that he is not the father and then moves back home to mama.moreless
