This episode is one of my favorite so far. It does not really fit in with the other episodes so far, no danger or fighting. But you get to see Chagum sorta come out of his shell and you get a feel of what Chagum will eventually turn out to be. I feel as if this episode is only the beginning to Chagum's character development. I read that the series turns into more of a boy learning the way of the average person, and if that is true then this is really the beginning.
Anyways this episode is starts off with Balsa sending Chagum out with Touya to learn about living in the city. Touya first shows Chagum how to get something for less than it really is. After that, they stop at a gambling game, where you place money one >,>>,or >>> which symbol how many coins with land face up. It might seem fair and square but its not. Chagum realizes that and tells Touya. Touya says something but none of the adults believe him. Later, Chagum decides to change the fact its not fair. Chagum challenges the spinner, and he places his first bet with the food they bought earlier. Of course, Chagum proves his point. Then people start placing their money on the board where Chagum tells them to. You get the idea, so around 2 or 3 more rounds of this, Chagum and the old guy in charge of the game go toe to toe. The old guy even spins the coins himself. Let me back up. If Chagum wins this toe to toe battle everyone gets their money back, but if he loses Chagum has to give the dealer his mother's earing on the necklace. Chagum placed his bet on >> and the old guy places his on >. Everyone was on the edge of their seat, one down and one up. With luck on his side, the 3rd lands heads up. Everyone is happy and gets their money back and end of episode.
It does sound really boring from my overview, maybe not, but it was a fantastic episode in my opinion.
