      • Each program began with the announcement, "This is Mr. Adams and Eve. They play movie stars who are husband and wife. Starring Ida Lupino and Howard Duff - and in real life they are actually husband and wife. It's Mr. Adams and Eve."

      • Ida Lupino was one of the "four stars" of Four Star Productions, a small independent company that produced movies and TV series (such as Mr. Adams and Eve and The Big Valley). She stated to the press that Mr. Adams and Eve was designed to smooth her somewhat rocky marriage to Howard Duff and that working together did relieve much tension.

      • The New York Times was not impressed with the series premiere and called Mr. Adams and Eve "mediocre" in an entertainment review published on January 5, 1957.
