I'll argue, because I'm a jerk. Mr. Bean is great, no doubt, but if you are looking for the "epitome" of British humor I'll have to site "Monty Python's Flying Circus", "Black Adder", "League of Gentlemen", "Red Dwarf", "The Young Ones", "The Comic Strip", "Bottom", and "Ripping Yarns" (directed by an American). Even though these are some of my favorite shows the "epitome" of British humor has to be "Faulty Towers".

Mr. Bean is an excellent show, no doubt about that. But the title for best British comedy would have to go to either "Black Adder" or "Fawlty Towers".

Really? So Bean will be causing even more chaos somewhere in the world! Is there anywhere I can find out more information about it?

As for why so few episodes were made - thinking about it, the character is basically a child in an adult's body. Therefore it's feasible that the character would "struggle" with activities that others can handle - who goes around covering everything in a room with newspaper so that they don't have to move everything out to paint the room AND then comes up with the idea of putting a firework in the can.

Some of the best programmes are actually those that only have a handful of episodes made to keep the magic in the series.

If Bean 2 should be anywhere its should stay in England. The first movie was hollywood-isd and that was a mistake.

I think Rowan Atkinson said that the sequel is the last Bean-related thing he's going to do and after that he's just gonna retire the character.

I can't believe there making another Bean movie. I'm so happy and i'm definetly going to see it when it comes out. I read about it and Rowan Atkinson who plays him said "it will be the last Mr Bean story".

This show's always been one of my favorites. I spent most of my childhood watching the episodes on PBS- I've seen almost all of them. And just yesterday, I found an old tape full of episodes. I sat down and watched the whole tape straight through, and fell in love with the show all over again.

A great show, classic comedy. My personal favourite moment would be when the tank runs over his car in "Back to School Mr Bean"

I know! I just love the way he stands there eating his cupcake, while his car is being demolished.
