Here is a TV series that reminds us of a time when high school wasn't wrought with the social ills of today.

Mr. Novak is a dramatic series that ran on NBC from 1963-65 & it features James Franciscus as John Novak, an idealistic English teacher at fictional Jefferson High School in Los Angeles whose teaching methods do not meet with immediate approval by his superiors, but nonetheless helps the students both in and outside the classroom.

The reason i made this review is that this series is far different than similar series that soon followed it such as ABC's Room 222(1969-74) & NBC's The Bronx Zoo(1987-88).

It is a shame that this classic drama isn't seen on TV anymore, at least it would be more credible than Fox's joke of a high school series, Glee.moreless
