  • One of my favorite episodes of the series!

When I think of the most memorable episodes of Muppet Babies there are a few episodes that come to mind--and this is one of them! It was the culmination of the great character development and writing from the past six years of the show. True, it was the first episode of the so-called "Lost Season" and introduced one of the most annoying characters in the series, Bean Bunny, but it still had some of the best parodies and allusions in the entire series.

By the end of the episode, you have the alter egos of the Muppets from Star Wars, Star Trek, The Jetsons, Indiana Jones, and Star Trek: The Next Generation all in one scene with each other. From Kermit's futile attempts to silence his car radio, to the running gag of Fozzie causing Gonzo to crash their ship, to Piggy's delight at the multiple Kermits in the room it's a great episode that few people remember because it was from so late in the series' run. It has some of the best writing in the series and all of the jokes still hold up nearly twenty years later.
  • Kermit vainfully trying to shut up the car speaker is the true highlight of my all-time favorite Muppet Babies episode.

Muppet Babies had a ton of great episodes, but "Muppet Babies: The Next Generation" is without a doubt a true classic.

Rowlf gets dirty and refuses to take a bath, resulting in a whole slew of sci-fi parodies, including Star Trek (in fact, this episode's title is based off ST: The Next Generation), Star Wars, and the Jetsons. In fact, it is the Jetsons parody that is the true highlight of this episode. Kermit is plauged by the most annoying car speaker in history, as it keeps repeating his theme song, adding in various monotonous lyrics, all while Kermit hilariously tries in vain to shut the darn thing up.

The second highlight is the various Muppet Babies that come out of the transporter in the ST: TNG segment (Kermit utters the line of the episode here: "Are you sure this isn't The Twilight Zone?")

And, what Muppet Babies episode would be complete without a catchy song in the middle. Rowlf's "The World Depends on You" is beautifully done.

In short, an absolutely wonderful episode, the best of all-time, IMO. If you haven't seen this one, or if you have and are looking for a good laugh, you can find it on ol' reliable YouTube.
  • The babies search for Rolf through many different parodies.

This is a great episode! I love the well-done parodies, especially the ones of Star Wars and The Jetsons, and the scene where Kermit tries to shut up the faulty speaker that sings the Jetsons\'s theme song is a riot! This one never gets old. It is no doubt a classic!
