Episode Summary

EDIT
Pierce Brosnan
AIRED:
Pierce Brosnan is a world famous actor, but he would rather be more like James Bond instead. As he goes on with the show, the Crustacean Liberation Army shows up. They want the studio and won't let anyone get in their way. The fate of the Muppets depends on Pierce stepping up as a hero. Sketches: "Seymour the Elephant and Pepe the Prawn singing German opera", "Dancing Grandmas", "Spy In The Casino", "Bay of Pigswatch", "Dancing Grandmas", "Rock Lobster", "Goldfinger"moreless

      • Clifford: Wow, Rizzo. These grandmas can sure bust a move.
Rizzo: Yeah, let's hope they don't bust their hip.

      • Clifford: Uh, ladies and gentlemen, while we wait for Pierce Brosnan, why don't we put on another act? Uh, excuse me while I go check our vast reservoir of talent. Later. (Clifford leaves the stage and meets with Rizzo in the back) Yo, Rizz, what you got for me?
Rizzo: Well I'm afraid our vast reservoir is more like a vast desert. All we got is Dancin' Grandmas.
Clifford: Aw man, that doesn't sound good.
Rizzo: Well it's either them or Seymour and Pepe doing German opera.
(Seymour and Pepe appear near Clifford and do their act, much to Clifford's displeasure)
Clifford: Hmm. I'll introduce the grandmas.
        Rizzo: Yeah.

      • Statler: Boy, watching these grandmas has me feeling something I haven't felt in years.
        Waldorf: What's that?
        Statler: My pulse.

      • Statler: I guess you've got to take the good with the bad.
Waldorf: Yeah, but I'm still waiting for the good.

    • NOTES (1)

      • Clifford's intro: The show that can be seen everywhere from Istanbul to Constantinople.
(Rizzo the Rat comes on stage)
Rizzo: Clifford, haven't you heard? Istanbul IS Constantinople.
        Clifford: What do you mean?
(four rats in Turkish robes pop up and sing a couple of lines from the They Might Be Giants hit "Istanbul, Not Constantinople.")
