Death Stalks The Big Top (1)
AIRED:
After Jessica's great-niece Carol receives a wedding gift of a silver leprechaun, she confides in Jessica that it was the one gift her grandfather had always promised her. Years earlier Neil was presumed dead in a boating accident, but his body was never found. Jessica agrees to search for Neil, and her search leads her to the Carmody circus, and a roustabout named Carl Schumann, who she soon realises is Neil. Unfortunately, when a body is found on the grounds, Neil is the primary suspect, even though everyone had good reason to want Hank Sutter dead.moreless

    • TRIVIA (2)

      • In the scene towards the beginning of the episode in which Neil is talking to Charlie, Neil applies his white face paint, then the camera switches to Charlie, and then when it pans back to Neil, the paint has disappeared and his face is clean.

      • This episode introduces Jessica's brother-in-law Neil Fletcher, his wife Constance, their daughter Audrey, Audrey's husband Howard Bannister, and their daughter, Carol Bannister. Jessica hasn't been to see them in just over five years, shortly before Frank's death. Michael Horton's character of Grady Fletcher is notably absent. The episode also references an unseen great-aunt Amanda.
