Once again, Jessica is off visiting a friend, this time her old college roommate, when someone is found murdered. In this case, it is the ex-husband of Jessica's roommate, a well-known musician with mob ties and a healthy supply of enemies. This time, Jessica's help is welcomed by the police officer investigating the murder. The two of them are working under the assumption that the murderer had to be in the house the night of the murder, leaving only a handful of possible suspects. As the investigation continues, however, Jessica is struck by something that one of the suspects says during a conversation. This leads her to the realization that someone else was in the house the night of the murder.moreless
