Other than seeing Arthur Hill again, there's not much to say about this episode. The concept of bringing Jessica's first murderer back to the show is a good one (especially with the relationship they had in the pilot), but the story is muddled. Guest performances, aside from Michael McKean and George Coe, are weak and the reunion of Jessica and Giles is rushed. I don't buy that Jessica would be so quick to believe him when he professes his innocence.
But Arthur Hill and Angela Lansbury do have great chemistry. This was Hill's last role before he died and while it's not the best send-off, it is a nice final note for a great career for this charming character actor. It's just too bad that Hill's return to the show could not have been in a better episode. Ignore the sub-par mystery and enjoy the few moments between these two great actors with real chemistry.
