I love this series, and I will stand by it through most things, but "Enid" must go! Once again, the premise of the episode and the glimpse of history are great in true "Murdoch" style. And I can even see how, in this episode, the character they conscript to be the hook for the bad guy, needs to be a whining, insipid miss in true 1895 fashion.
Its her ongoing connection to Detective Murdoch that I don't believe fits HIS character. His character's own personal war with himself (and he alluded to it in his description of the perfect woman in this episode) is and has always been, based on the the conflict with the tenets with which he was raised, telling him what he is supposed to want versus what he really wants. And what he really wants is NOT a ball and chain, but a woman with some...you know"?...balls and no chain!
And I'm sorry Sarah Allen, but I don't like your "Enid" performance anyway, even if you are stuck with a wimp of a character. Bring back the old "Murdoch" and Murdoch Mysteries, please...moreless
