Murphy: I'm living a highly complete life here. It's just that for the last twenty-four hours there's this voice inside me. It's the voice of a tiny baby girl with a big mouth.
Murphy: I have to find out about "The Cat in the Hat". Do you know what that is?
Jerry: A Korean dish?
Murphy: Women in this country legally still have a choice. At least I still think they do, I haven't check the papers today.
Murphy: I'm pregnant.
Corky: Oh my god! It's a medical miracle!
Originally broadcast as a part of a 60 minute season premiere episode.
Murphy: Jake, for a guy who knows all of the words to 'In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida' you're starting to sound a lot like Pat Boone.
The 1968 Iron Butterfly song "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" is iconic for the hippie era. Singer Pat Boone, on the other hand, is known for his safe cover versions of rock & roll and his conservative politics.
(Jerry finds Phil's deserted.)
Jerry: Gee, I guess it's true. Scientists found traces of Phil's meatloaf in Zachary Taylor's remains.
Zachary Taylor, the twelfth president of the United States of America, died in the second year of his presidency, presumably of gastroenteritis. As theories about poisoning remained persistent, his body was exhumed in 1991, at the time of this episode's original broadcast. The autopsy offered no new clues.
