  • The boys plan a tourist day of Chicago of all the places they've never been. PJ proves on the eve of her trip when you are on a role you are on a role. First Evan, then Matt Dugan, then Thorn all show up interested in getting together with her.moreless

Evan really was swamped when he shows up after he returned from a Botany trip to Belize interested in PJ. Then she sees Matt Dugan the Cubs pitcher at a news conference and he's been traded to the Brewers. Being that close and no longer a Cub he asks her out and she accepts. Finally she runs into Thorn and he never got married and wants to hang out with her. She admits she is going to Italy to all of them and we are lead to think she is going by herself.

The boys discover some of the nicer Chicago sites. Mike art at The Art Institute. Kenny the top of the Sears Tower. Bobby the water front and walking in Lake Michigan (which he then catches some kind of algae fungus from!). Branden is serenaded by Andy from a double decker bus. All in all a wonderful day.

The final scene is Stephanie and her date waiting for PJ. She arrives and announces she brought a date but he did not arrive yet. Stephanie ask who it is when the stewardess says, "PJ Franklin? You have been upgraded to first class and there is a glass of champagne waiting for you." She walks to the front and and smiles at the person sitting in the seat, a glass of champagne is waiting for her, and the stewardess closes the curtain as Stephanie tries to see who it is.

    Cliffhanger!

Fun episode. Nice cliffhanger. Thanks for reading...moreless
  • Boyfriend overdose and another evil cliffhanger

    9.0
Before PJ and Stephanie leave for Italy, the guys decide to act all touristy in Chicago and go places they've never been. I loved the beach scene but Andy singing was slightly over the top and not at all realistic. Finally, the trip to Italy has arrived but who to take?? Evan, the botanist, Thorne, the high-school sweetheart or the baseball player who has just been transferred so there's no longer a conflict of interests. That was a fun storyline, so many options and opportunities to take someone to Italy. She finally jumped in and decided to ask someone and then the most horrible, evil cliffhanger happened.moreless

    • Andy: (As a tour guide on a double-decker bus) Ladies and gentlemen, you've been such a wonderful crowd. I'd like to do a little tune for you now. It's one of my personal favorites. And I'd like to dedicate it to a man who thinks we hasn't seen anything good today. Brendan Dorff, this one's for you.
Brendan: Wait, wait! I saw lots of good things today. Mike got into art, Kenny broke out of his slump, 3 guys want to take P.J. to Italy..
Andy: Shut up, I'm singing anyway. (Singing) Danke schoen, darling, danke schoen...

This is an allusion to the movie Ferris Bueller, which stars Matthew Broderick as Ferris. In one scene, Ferris is part of a float in a parade in Chicago, and he sings this song after saying he wants to dedicate it to his friend Cameron, "who thinks he hasn't seen anything today".
