By David Tutera's standards, Bayyina Joseph's idea of a "majestic" wedding falls a tad bit short. A wedding dress inspired by Madonna's "Like A Virgin" video? A reception hall that looks like a 70's rollerskating rink? A hair-do that's the very definition of "hair-don't?" So with only a few short weeks before Bayyina's wedding, David decides to literally make her a queen for the day...in this case, Marie Antoinette. For her own royal court, David outfits her bridal party in Versaille-inspired gowns from Creative Costumes. Also befitting a queen is the queen of etiquette, Peggy Post (daughter of Emily Post) who instructs Bayyina on the proper way to greet her guests. Later, Classic Party Rentals provides Bayyina with a demonstration of awe-inspiring table settings fit for a palace. But David's biggest surprise? Instead of using Bayyina's reception hall, he arranges to have the entire wedding moved to Long Island's luxurious Garden City Hotel, where the grand ballroom is transformed into an opulent 14th century royal chamber dripping in gold. For the most important day of her life, Bayyina is every bit the queen. And her guests? Just let them eat cake.moreless
