As far as cartoons on Cartoon Planet go, MGPAM is one of the worst we've ever seen. And there's a lot of crap on Cartoon Network now. Who cannot believe that this was made from the same state made Kick Buttkosk? Everything about this show is stupid. From the annoying characters, to the really gross humor.

Let's talk about the show's characters. Adam and Jake try to be funny, but are instead really annoying, and they're not even the worst people on Gym Partner. That "honor" belongs to Neardy Crocodile and Pricipal Pixiefrog. Crocodile is nothing but a COMPLETE GENARIC MORON! And Pixiefrog is nothing more than a complete A-hole! There isn't a single likable character in this show. Also the plots are some of the worst plots ever written, and there is too much peeing and farting in this than should be allowed. At least Pink Panther and Pals had no amout of this, apart from The Ant and The Aardvark skits anyway.

That's it there is nothing more to say about this BS. It is one of the worst cartoons to ever be greenlit, in fact whoever greenlit this should be immediately fired. There isn't a single good thing about it. And you will never get the time you spent watching this back. In closing, STAY AWAY FROM GYM PARTNER!moreless
  • We learn that Adam Lyon isn't shy about love, and Windsor learns that he can't truly judge others until he really knows them.

I'm sure some people out there were thinking this show would never last. But I can thankfully say, they were wrong! It's as strong as ever! The animals at Charles Darwin Middle School are used to Virgil being a bully and party everytime he Doesn't come to school. But when he gets his braces off, his personality changes as he's kinder and fond of his appearance. Everyone prefers the new Virgil! Well, Almost everyone! Although Virgil no longer bullies physically, he hurts Adam Lyon's feelings verbally, by insulting Adam's fashion choices! Thankfully for Adam, he learns it's just a phase because with Virgil being a shark, he grows Several rows of teeth during his lifetime, and he grows his next row right then and there! With Virgil having to get fitted for braces again, everything's back to C.D.M.S normal standards. We also learn there are quite a few characters Adam Lyon would kiss if his life depended on it, including Jake Spidermonkey! :D Also, Windsor is protective of his mother and doesn't want her falling in with bad influences. He's already put a restraining order against a teacher and a principal simply because he didn't want them dating her! But Mr. Mandrill is neither, he's a guidance counseler, and he's unlike any school authority figure Windsor has known! Mr. Mandrill is going the extra mile, not to win the love of Windsor's single mother, but to win Windsor's respect. Mr. Mandrill like's Windsor's music, and he likes Rhino-sance fairs. But Windsor refuses to respect Mr. Mandrill, and fears the worst when he finds a present in Mr. Mandrill's glove compartment! Windsor jumps to conclusions by thinking it's a Wedding Ring gift and that Mr. Mandrill is going to propose! Windsor is willing to fight against Mr. Mandrill. But Windsor learns it's not a gift for his mom, it was a gift for Windsor! A small, glass swan sculpture and Windsor likes to collect small glass sculptures! Windsor learns that he misjudged Mr. Mandrill and maybe Mr. Mandrill would be a good stepdad after all. This show is really good! ;)moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (4)

    • End Credits: Windsor is riding along in Mr. Mandrill's car and they're both listening to a Jiminy Japoopy hit song.

    • It is revealed in this episode that Mr. Mandrill enjoys Jiminy Japoopy as much as Windsor does, and they both share the same enthusiasm for Rhino-sance Fairs and both have secret collections of tiny glass animal sculptures.

    • It's learned in this episode that Windsor has been raised by a single mother, and her name is Margie. It is also learned that Margie is apparently very hot and both Principal Pixiefrog and Cyrus Q. Hornbill have dated Margie at least once in the past. However, Windsor now has restraining orders against them from getting within 10 yards of his mother.

    • A running gag in this episode is that various characters ask Adam Lyon whether or not he'd kiss somebody, if his life depended on it; and with the exception of Ingrid (he forgets his answer to her) he says he'd kiss each of the creatures he was asked about if his life depended on it.

  • QUOTES (3)

    • Windsor: So let me get this straight, Mr. Mandrill. You mean you're not going to propose to my mother? Mr. Mandrill: Of course not, not yet anyways. We've only gone on two dates and one of them was just sharing coffee so that really doesn't count. I respect your mom and not just because she's hot, but because she's a special woman with a very special boy who loves and cares for her very much. Windsor: Well Mr. Mandrill, I was wrong about you. It just seemed weird to have a teacher dating my mom. I just really needed to get to know you better. And now that I have, I've got to admit that maybe having you in my life wouldn't be so bad after all. Mr. Mandrill: That makes me very happy to hear you say that. (They hug)

    • (Jake and Adam are in a restroom) Jake: So Adam, we've learned that you would kiss Principal Pixiefrog, Mrs. Warthog, and Eugenia Tusk if your life depended on it! (Hears roaring outside) Oh no, it's Bull! Hide me! (Jumps inside Adam's pants) Adam: (screams) I'm going to die with a MONKEY in my PANTS!!!!

    • Virgil "Bull" Sharkowski: Hey Adam! 1993 called, and even they don't want your look back!

  • NOTES (0)

  • ALLUSIONS (4)

    • Jiminy Japoopy sings: Danza is the boss, Danza is the boss! / This is probably a reference to actor Tony Danza and the fact that he appeared on the popular hit show Who's the Boss? which originally ran from 1984-1992. So what Jiminy is singing is that Tony Danza was the Boss on the show Who's the Boss?

    • Mandrill of the House: The episode title segment might be a parody/reference of the British T.V. series Man About the House which originally ran from 1973-1976, or it might be a reference to the 1995 live-action Disney movie, Man of the House.

    • When Mr. Mandrill is teaching about Animal Mating Rituals, he mentions that he is an expert on "Making love," which is a way of saying, having sexual intercourse.

    • Predator: When Cyrus Q. Hornbill is mentioning to his students how covering up themselves with mud will protect them from being seen by predator's infra-red vision, a student says that this is true, and he looks exactly like a Predator from the 1987 movie of the same name! In addition, the Predator's in the movie also tracked their prey with infra-red vision.
