  • another big-eye sore in the Gym Parter series

I am a underappriated fan, the games, the anime, the movies. By far Im just a big nerd about down hillers. So when I heard MGPAM was coming out on CN I am going to give it a try. reasons being it was going to be a UK-made animated style on CN. Like that of the CatDog episode on Nick w/ a Rocky V refence(Extra! Extra!) Anyhow it was very true to the CatDog name, it was fast, uncool and the vo's like always know. Notheless it was amazing and CatDog came along and i was like....what?! Find out why now, just a little paragraph below.

So, yes Hamtaro kick butt back in 03 was amazing and cool, so why does this suck? Well for starters the the vo are just, bland there very typical and stale and just blah! Jake sounds less Spongbob then dog ever before and with introduction of stupid characters like (Slips & Winzer; Winzer who which has the scarier voice of them all)and a random guest of humans who Adam lives with humans. Yes he has done such things before namely adventure but he actually lives with them. You see the story is CatDog and Rancid Rabbit fight theres a crazed reaction between the Greaser Dogs and they get sent to this world. Where there humans and stuff, sonic lands in a pool; as you know Cat can't swim so he starts to drown when a small boy who lives in this mansion of a house saves him. His name being Adam, a rich boy with your typical anime spiky hair and such. With that him and a disin-bodied mother (like in cow & Chicken) are trying to hide them away, first Adam then Jake and the rest of the gang(Slips, Winzer, Ingeid, Lup'e, bull, & Pixiepfrog). Eventually the others find out about them, the butler and the nanny. Wheres the mom? Oh see is only legs & one hand, has no need or time for her son.

While all this is going on Neardy Crockidle is doing what he always does, but not really. By judgement of random students he and the preitty(imagine the new version of The Greaser Dogs who beats-up Cat). So it starts attacking the school and then Adam has to destroy it after that one student gets another idea make another one. So he does again and again.

Now if the bad vo and horrid and boring story isn't enough, the annimation is crude. Reusing the same old worn out animations over and over. They wern't even good to begin with, and thats the biggest crime where Coconut Fred is supposed to be badguy and cool, the fight scenes are so boring I actually fell aslept during it once. Sonic grabs this "Shiny Things" grabs it and burst through whichever Preitty that may be.

Oh and what about Jake and the rest of them, they are pratically useless, Bull sometimes does stuff. As for Winzer, Henry and some characters from the excellent adventure storylines. Finnally get put in when they hault there whole adam destroys one student's life goes to the next act. They cheaply recreate the adventure storyline. Squezzing it in 5-6 episodes and watering it down to a retarted level.

As a Catscratch fan this is just very very painful for me to watch such a horrid crappy show. More pain, cause I can't forget that kirby cartoon. uggg..moreless
  • One of the best episodes that I've seen in season 3 of "My Gym Partner's a Monkey" yet!

There's a thin line between friends and enemies, a concept which isn't explored often. Only once have I seen a good example of what happens when two beings who were the best of friends became enemies, and that was in Disney's "Fox and the Hound" made in 1981. But 26 years later, Cartoon Network has decided to do their own version but with a snake and a mongoose. Slips Python is a care-free soul and up until now never cared who his friends were just so long as they were nice & ideally had a healthy sense of humor. Slips found such a being in a mongoose named Carl and it seemed like they were meant to be friends seeing as how they had the same kind of humor & sense of awareness. But when they learned they were supposed to be enemies, their animal instincts kicked in and they started reliving their most primal behaviors! But Adam doesn't want to stand for it because when Carl & Slips start firing at each other, Adam keeps getting caught in the crossfire! Adam & Jake decide to set up an intervention and make them realize how ridiculous they're acting! Just because countless generations of mongooses and snakes warred with each other doesn't mean They need to. Yet the situation resolved itself when Carl's family decided to enroll him in a private academy. And yet, Slips and Carl really Did learn something! They could Still be the best of friends even if it meant they'd have to pretend to be rivals with each other because deep down inside, they were still flesh & blood & basically the same. And Slips continued to explore his personality when he finds out he needs purpose in his life, and what better way to have purpose than to become a guidance counselor? Unfortunately, Slips does a better job at it then Mr. Mandrill does and it's driving him mad! But when Slips sees Mr. Mandrill flip out, Slips realizes the Guidance Counselor job is too high-stress for him and he wisely quits. Love this show! :Dmoreless
