I haven't seen the new episodes here in the States, but I can't imagine anyone better than Ardal

james dreyfuss is horrible as george. well i say "as george" but apart from when they use the crap effects to show him using a super power, he isn't any different to when he played the gay one in "gimme gimme gimme" or Goody in "the thin blue line"

I know Ardal was good, but I like James too. He is a funny man!

The new George is really not funny. I wonder how they explain that with the new body comes a completely new body language and way of thinking. I guess the audience feels the same disappointment with Janet who finds herself married with a strange and -judging from his mannerism- rather gay man.

At least we dont have two children with him, so we can abandon the show.

Whilst he's nothing near as good as the original, I think the new George is ok. I just wish they'd stop dragging out the "George trying to get back with Janet" plot. Janet took him back at the end of Dermoman, so of course next week things are like that never happened. That's happened again now, so my money's betting that next week, for the finale, they'll have split again and George will still be trying to get her back. With the exception that this time he probably will, and it'll be permanent. I'm glad they got Ardal O'Hanlon to come in for the opening scene of Footloose though, or else it would have seemed like a major cheat. Although, it would have been better if we'd seen him actually playing poker.

I've never really been a big fan of this show, but I have to say it's not the same without Ardal O'Hanlon as George. I liked James Dreyfuss as Constable Goody on "The Thin Blue Line", but he just rubs me the wrong way on this show as George. Just repulsive.

Ardal is the best! I LOVED how he played George! The new one is just...urgh! He strikes me as a homosexual. He acts very girly and....ew! He isn't even Irish! I want Ardal back!

It's also annoying how with new George came a bunch of new powers.

It was lame how he kept claiming to be the same person with the same thoughts and everything except the same body when clearly he was nothing like old George.

Although they also suddenly changed the rules about Ultron pregnancies between them having Ollie and Cassie.
