7 has just done a completely "original" tweak to my resteraunt rules, in the hopes it will be as popular. it will fail.

it's not a rip off of Master Chef, seven are just taking advantage of a successful brand. They too have some what successfully pulled off prime time cooking shows (my restaurant rules, surprise chef, better homes and gardens, etc). If anything Masterchef is the rip off of the british version! I agree that it will not be as successful as Master chef, but as it airs before master chef, it will get substantial viewing, similar to the ratings of my restaurant rules when it was on.

It isn't a rip off of masterchef. It is an adaption of their old cooking show my resturant rules... which started before masterchef..

I'm actually enjoying 'My Kitchen Rules' so far, whereas I hate MasterChef, so I'm really happy with this show. Go NSW!

I've only watched 2 episodes so far, it's not that bad. Now of only Channel Nine does a Top Chef that would be awesome

By My Kitchen Rules ratings so far, it's working! Maybe it will not be as successful as masterchef, but now we know it's good enough for a second series.

My 9 yr old daughter LOVES to cook, way before any cooking show hit the screen. She commented that the cooking shows make cooking look like it is a frustrating thing to do,that there is no love put into a dish. She humms as she cooks, smiles and is so happy watching the family eat,not worried.I never realised until she commented how dedicated she really is.
