The two cartoons in this episode introduce a main character and villian. In Attack of the 5 1/2 foot Geek, Jenny goes to shop class for minor repairs and meets the nerdy Sheldon, who immediately falls for her. He tries to woo Jenny, but goes about it in a completely wrong way. As a result he creeps her out. What's worse is that Mrs. Wakeman approves of him! Nicely written. In the second installment, its winter in Tremerton. The scenes of Jenny, Brad, and Tuck playing in the snow are cute, but their fun is interrupted by the arrival of an ambassador from the planet Cluster Prime. Jenny tries to dispatch him, but it is tougher than it looks. My only quibble with the cartoon was the manner in which Jenny finally prevails, it was rather silly. The creation of the Cluster was this series master stroke, as it gave Jenny a worthy recurring adversary as opposed to the her having to deal with goofy villians de jour like the Lonely Hearts Club Gang that appear in the first episode.moreless
