It has been another fun ride this season for Friendship is Magic. This season added more twists and turns in it and this season finale is not any different. The episode opens up with Spike going to Twilight Sparkle and handing her two letters. Twilight reads them and discovers her own brother, Shining Armour, is getting married to Princess Cadence. Twilight reads on and discovers her friends will be attending the wedding with her and each will help with it. Rarity makes the dresses. Pinkie Pie is the reception planner. Applejack is the caterer. Fluttershy is in charge of music. Rainbow Dash will do a Sonic Rainboom at the end. Spike is the one who plans the bachelor party. Twilight and the others head for Canterlot and discover security has been increased there. Twilight soon encounters her brother and discovers Princess Cadence is none other than her old foalsitter. Twilight finds Princess Cadence and sees she's nothing like her old self, she's rude, crude, and downright mean. She watches Cadence act horrible to everypony and rejects their gifts. Twilight's friends however don't believe her, leaving her on her own. Twilight soon sees that Cadence is casting a spell on Shining Armour and decides enough is enough. The next day, Twilight confronts Cadence and tells her friends and Princess Celestia that she's evil and what she did. Cadence fires back though and states she did somethings due to some circumstances and runs out crying. Shining Armour is appalled by what her sister did and tells Twilight to not come to the wedding. Twilight's friends and Princess Celestia soon leave as well, showing their disappointment over what she did. Twilight starts to doubt about what she did and cries. The episode then ends with Princess Cadence coming and teleporting Twilight away. This was an epic way to start off the season finale. Seeing Spike and Pinkie play with those figurines was hilarious and Rarity was funny as well in this episode. The mystery behind who Cadence really is and well done and it does raise a lot of questions as to who the imposter is. My only gripe is that it was kind of out of character to see Twilight's friends and Princess Celestia not listen to Twilight. It contradicts the lesson in Lesson Zero. I'm not deducting points though since it's most likely that Twilight was acting too protective of her brother. All in all, an epic way to start off the season finale.
FINAL SCORE: 10/10
