Spies and secret agents were very popular in 1966. The episode of Please Don't Eat the Daisies called Say Uncle which followed the showing of this episode of MMtC on Jan 11, 1966 also had a secret agent plot to it, and even featured cameos by Man from U.N.C.L.E. stars Robert Vaughn and David McCallum.

The title of this episode is a parody of the then-current James Bond movie Goldfinger. It features an Asian henchman who's a takeoff on Oddjob, and an evil-doer who pets a white fluffy cat who sits in his lap.
