  • this episode was great and very funny. (not really but sort of a spoiler)

This was great, of course part of it is my distaste for the French, but it was well writtent too. That French guy seemed typical, but it was funny them trying to convince him to like America, and just naming random things, and of course Randy says something funny and totally wrong. I like how the whole thing with Randy & Catalina has progressed is kind of cool, I actually missed the end so I'm not sure if they got together or what happened there. I like this show every character is funny, and we learned crab man is smarter than he lets on. This was a great episode and not just because they made fun of the French, even though that did help make it good.moreless

This show for me it's off sometimes and then it turns back on. What I mean is that sometimes it can be really funny and some other times it can be pretty much boring. This episode was very good. I laughed all the way through it. Pierre, the French guy, was a great new character and I really hope he comes back in future episodes. I was very funny to see all the characters trying to prove to Pierre that America was a fun country, and as always, the funniest one at it was of course Joy. I love that girl. The advice she gave Catalina to get rid of Randy was just such a Joy thing to do. The out come of it though I'm very excited to find out what it will be. Catalina has fallen for Randy but he wants nothing to do with her, that should be an interesting couple upcoming episodes right there.moreless

  • Randy and Catalina consummate their marriage in a disgusting way!

    9.2
    "Superb"
Despite having done an episode about Earl picking on foreign people before, since Pierre left the country, he deserves his own list number.

One of the things that I love about Earl other than the brilliant comedy are the twists and this episode had a lot of them:

    1. Pierre came to the country for the ladies not culture
    2. Pierre has a wife and kids
    3. Catalina took Joy's advice
    4. Randy and Catalina completely swapped their feelings for each other

While Joy's plan backfiring was an obvious moment, the way it did was quite well plotted with Randy completely turned off by Catalina and Catalina realising how wrong she'd been about her husband and was a great way to end a hilarious episode.moreless

    • Joy: You don't really love that doofus, do you? Catalina: No, I just didn't want to hurt him. Joy: I hear you. Listen, nobody is more senstitive to hurting people's feelings than me. Tell you what, you need to do. You need to have sex with him. Catalina: Um, this feels like the time you told me the public pool was topless. Joy: I forgot about that...(laughs) My boys still ask about you. No, this is serious. Once I had to break up with this dude from Quebec, but I didn't want to hurt his feelings 'cause he was an Assistant Manager at Sam Goody's and I was getting all kinds of free cassettes. So I slept with him, only I made sure I was terrible at it so he would never want to do it again. Catalina: You slept with a guy for free cassettes? Joy: Just once, it was before CDs. Don't you judge me. Edit
    • Catalina: Earl. Earl: I'm giving breakfast to the French guy. Hey, can I borrow you master key to break into his room? Catalina: Anytime. Edit

    • Heroes When we're shown a young Pierre chatting to the four girls, the blackboard behind him reads "Screw the cheerleader, destroy the world". This is an allusion to the tag line for the show Heroes, which is "Save the cheerleader, save the world". Edit
    • Pepé Le Pew Randy: He's making eyes at her, Earl. Just like that French skunk does with the girl cat, only this time the girl cat's not trying to get away. This is a reference to the skunk Pepé Le Pew in the Warner Bros. cartoon series Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies. Pepé constantly strolls about romantic Paris, searching for a love of his own. Edit
