After Randy realized that working on the list helps Earl get better, he continues to cross things off the list. This time he has to make up for Earl and him stealing a motorcycle, which proves harder than he thinks, because both of them were drunk while stealing the motorcycle, so he can not remember where they put it leading to a backwards episode where Randy has to piece that night together to find the motorcycle. A very good, strong plot that deserves a lot more credit as it was really funny. Especially Earl's chicken suit idea, the panty antennae and the go-kart scene.moreless

  • Randy sets about crossing things off Earl's list. First up - Stole a Motorcycle

    "Good"
This episode was not as good as the last one although I'm glad to see them continuing to right the show. The reason why I didn't enjoy this as much was because it spent too much time on the past story and Jackass Earl. Yeah it was necessary so the mystery of what happened to the Motorcycle could be slowly unravelled, but the oddball characters and humour were not as pronounced because of it. Still a good episode though with the drunken night revealing the oddness of the My name is Earl universe. The Panties antennae was funny, the half chicken suit, the 'no chicken suits or motorcycles allowed' sign in the crab shack and where they found the motorcycle made me laugh as did the crude pop culture reference to Basic Instinct. I will say that drunk Randy smothering Earl was a little too far though. On the other side of things the coma sitcom is maintaining it's slightly funny side with the classic misunderstanding of an eavesdropped phone call situation. A classic sitcom staple.moreless

  • Earl's sitcoma continues as Randy finds out about a drunken attempted murder.

    "Great"
The sitcoma (for lack of a better witty nickname for the sitcom coma) was good for one episode, but they can already use Earl for the flashbacks to what the list item is for, so the fantasy is not needed, and gets old fast, despite the clever way of aligning reality and fantasy.

However, the episode is still very funny, with Randy almost killing Earl, and Earl trying to get revenge, and crossing off the list item becomes the unravelling of a mystery. It's not a fantastic episode by any means, but it's funny and well plotted, so it's a good instalment of the great show.moreless

    "Superb"
This is the best episode of the 3'rd season and one of the best in the entire series.

I don't remember when was the last time I laughed so hard. This episode was just hilarious, and Alyssa Milano is great guest star!!

While Earl is in a coma and still in hid own little Hickeyville :), Randy tries to cross off items from the list to help him recover. Together with Joy, he tries go give back a stolen bike to some famous bikers ;) which turns out to be harder than he thought.

I actually think that the writes strike had a great effect on the show ;) The last 3 episodes were fantastic and i hope the writers can keep this up till the end of the season :)moreless

    • Joy: We gotta work backwards to find out what really happened. Like when you rewound that videotape to see if Sharon Stone really flashed her undersmile. Joy is referring to the film Basic Instinct, specifically the scene where Catherine Tramell (played by Sharon Stone) distracts her interrogators by uncrossing her legs to reveal a lack of underwear.
