Submission and Forum Guidelines!
Episode Submission Criteria:
As far as episode submissions go for shows which have not yet aired: ie. Fall Season '08, mid-season replacements early '09, Spring Season '09...
When entering a "NEW" episode, you need to have at least 2 out of the 3 following criteria PLUS an accessible URL for the source of the information you are adding (besides also entering Episode Season/Lifetime Numbers and Episode Type):
-Unique Episode Summary
Episode summaries must be unique: repeating the same basic summary/concept is not acceptable. A URL that TV.com cannot access is not an accessible URL.
***If the above requirements are not met, your submission will be rejected. When editing these episodes thereafter, you must also have a URL for any edits you are making up until the episode(s) actually airs.***
[Since these episodes have not yet aired and whatever the most current information regarding them is definitely available on the internet, there isn't any reason why you shouldn't be able to provide one.]
Notes are off-camera tidbits about an episode. They should contain off-camera events that deal with a show's production. They should not deal with on-camera events or trivia.
Trivia is any small detail or goof that might not be known to people who view an episode. Trivia is attached at the episode level, not the show level. It should be specific to what aired in the episode and not deal with off-camera events, which should be submitted in the "notes" form. A car license-plate number is trivia, and a producer walking off the set is a note.
An allusion is an indirect or passing reference to an existing form of media, be it to another TV program, a movie, a piece of music, or a book. Allusions are prevalent in television shows, and some shows, like The Family Guy, make extensive use of this kind of humor. When submitting allusions, always credit the original media being referenced with as much detail as possible.
Nielsen Ratings are copyrighted material and should not be submitted to any guide.
Persons featured in historical footage typically should not be listed as Guest Stars, particularly if they have no other TV appearances. They can be included in Notes or the Recap.
How to properly quote:
All show quotes must have the name of the speaker(s) bolded using HTML start and end tags. The name is then followed by a colon, which is not bolded. The dialogue itself should not have quotation marks around it. There should be no spacing between different speakers' lines in the same quotation, or extra spacing after the last line of a quotation. Action/context/background description should be in parentheses (or brackets) and italics.

Please do NOT use any quotation marks.
Please do not use < p > or < br > tags.
Please put html tags for italics around any "action" (as shown above) -using < em > and < /em > tags.
Please put the colon OUTSIDE of the < /strong > html tags.
Ten great ways to get your submission rejected:
1. Source - If your submission doesn't include a source, it will be rejected immediately. Moderators don't have the time to search the internet to verify the accuracy of what you submit.
2. Copy and Paste - You cannot copy and paste information from IMDB, or Yahoo, or any other site; that material is copyrighted. Write your own bio or synopsis, or paraphrase one that's already been written, get creative. Do not copy someone else's work. Changing a few words around won't cut it. If a majority of your submission can be found on another website, it will be rejected.
3. Links/Email Addresses - You cannot include links to commercial websites or personal websites and we would rather you did not include your own or someone else's email address.
4. Improper Formatting - Please read the FAQ for information on formatting. Quotes, for example, should look like this: name: quote. The moderators don't have time to re-format your submissions.
5. Bad Grammar/Spelling - We're not going to reject an entry for simple grammatical errors but please, PLEASE, write complete sentences. "Is a fan of Dave Mathews" or, "likes cake", are not complete sentences. Also, the moderators don't have time to spell check your work so please take the time to check your own spelling. The Spell check feature is there, USE it!
6. False Information - In order to accumulate points, some users have decided to change episode numbers, season numbers, air dates, etc., without bothering to check the accuracy of their information. This causes problems and it's a big headache for the people who have to go back and fix everything. It's okay to change an airdate, or an episode number, etc., if you know it's incorrect, but please be certain.
7. Hearsay/Gossip - Trivia is one thing but let's leave statements like, "has a thing for Lindsay Lohan", and, "living with mystery man in Miami" to the tabloids. We'd like to stick to the facts.
8. Posting to the Wrong Form - Trivia belongs in trivia, bio's belong in bio, quotes in quotes and etc. Again, it takes time to go back and fix these things so please be aware of which form you're adding to.
9. Duplicate Entries - Sometimes it can't be avoided, we understand that there's a lot of folks out there and there is bound to be some overlapping. All we ask is that you take a minute to check to see if the information you're intending to post has already been posted.
10. Nonsense - Some examples of nonsense would be: "she's sooooooo hottt!!!"; "I would like to go on a date with her!!!"; "is the best actor ever!!!!" This information isn't valuable to anyone and really doesn't have any place in the guides. Submissions must make sense! I always leave a comment on rejected submissions. Read them before you continue to submit if possible so your rejection rate won't continue to rise.
Guidelines for the forum:
1.) Try to avoid swearing. Also use *** or ~!@#$%^&() or any other characters to beep out words against the site.
2.) Don't argue with or insult any other user on this forum. If you have some issue with someone PM them, don't discuss it here. This could be considered Flaming and it's a TOS violation
3.) Posts against the show will either be deleted or locked. If you don't like the show why are you here? This could be considered Flaming and it's a TOS violation.
4.) Stay on topic. Off Topic threads will be locked.
5.) No duplicate threads please!! Try not to make topics about something that already has one.
6.) Talk about an episode in the episode discussion (if there is one).
