  • Where does it go from here

    8.5
I just finished watching the series on DVD and can not understand why the series was cancelled -- The last episode leaves everyting unanswered -- it's like the series was simply dropped instead of finished with a proper ending -- what I have seen is great and there is the potential for the series to be continued -- If there is no intention of continuing the series then they should of ended the series by fixing Henry/Edward -- I hope that those responsible for ending this great series come to their senses and pick it up where they left offmoreless
  • A great episode but so many unanswered questions.

    8.5
I have to say that although My Own Worst Enemy was not my favourite among the new shows this season, this was a pretty good episode and I would have liked it to continue as there was so much ananswered here. The story was great with the rogue agent and the scene in the boat with the hired assassin was a classic. I also liked the fact that the Raymond/Tom situation with Mary got more and more messy. The assassination of Tony was a shock too. This show has been cancelled far too prematurely - just when it really started to get going. This was probably the best episode of the whole season.moreless
  • This was an amazing episode. The only problem is, it wasn't that great of a Series Finale. (Spoilers)

    10
I loved this episode. I just hate that the series had to end like this. The action was great, the plot was great, and I loved the acting by everyone. I just hated that it's over. I really want to see what happens with Tom/Raymond and his wife, and also who is trying to stop things from going back to normal with Henry/Edward. I hope they end up making a TV movie or moving the show to a different channel so that they can finish the plot. I'm really going to miss this show and I hope that it somehow comes back. But, overall, I give this episode, Henry And The Terrible...Day, a 10 out of 10.moreless
  • a wonderful, final episode

    9.5
This is it. The last episode. Nothing more. It's sad to see the show go, it was extremely enjoyable and if it had the same promotion as say, Knight Rider, it might have lasted a little longer. Oh, well. Best luck to Christian Slater and cast. This episode shows the show's potential and is one of the best episode of the series, so it's a kicker even now to have it cancelled. Edward thinks there is a way to reverse the Edward/Henry switch after a messy situation with a rogue ex-Janus agent buying bombs almost kills Henry, resulting in Edward to come awake. In a series of life-or-death trials, each one fails and Edward and Henry are stuck together. Meanwhile, two mean from Raymond's past show up and demand he return what is theirs. They threaten Raymond right in front of "Tom's" wife and after all she's been through, she no longer trusts "Tom". Edward is tired of his other self being a liability on missions so to teach Henry a crash-course in spywork, he hires an assassin to kill Henry. Henry refuses to kill the assassin and manuevers his way to escape. Looks like Henry has a spy in him. Not too bad. He runs home to his wife, who assures him that Henry is not a monster and she wants Henry to tell her the truth. Henry can't tell her the truth. He wants the trials to work so he can get back to his normal life, where he remembers nothing, where things are less complicated. His problem will have to be put aside because the rogue agent is planning on bombing an embassy school to get attention and Edward/Henry has to go in it alone. Raymond goes solo to take care of his personal business. Raymond's backstory is finally revealed: in the past, Raymond was a thief and he stole from the wrong men. He got into Janus to escape from the past. He does have feelings for "Tom's" wife and isn't willing to see "Tom's" family die for his mistakes. Henry wakes up in the middle of the bombing crisis and Mavis informs him he has to make a decision or people will die. And Henry finally acts on his feet. He stabs the agent and gets the man to surrender the bomb location, saving the day. Henry is the actual hero this time. Tom's wife finds out where Raymond is actually going and decides to follow him right when he's cleaning up his loose ends. Tony finally has a way to make the Edward/Henry switch permenant. Henry is happy that he saved the day and he's having second thoughts about the switch. He feels he can be a spy like Edward. He wants to do the missions. Mavis tells him Henry's prescence in Janus is a risk and she's not giving him a choice on the switch. They walk into a room, to find Tony dead, a bullet in his head, and his switch programs shut down. The episode ends with Tom's wife finally figuring out just who Raymond is and Henry finding out someone in the company knows about him and want him around. Post-guess is boss Alastair. Unfortunately, this is the end. These storylines are never going to go anywhere. The show is to be forever hung in suspense, which makes the cancellation even more harsh. This final episode was amazing and even if it was cut too short, it was a perfect episode to go out on and it was the way the show needed to end. I'd rather have the show be hung in the air instead of a forced, wrap-it-all-up-it's-over ending. What may have been. My Own Worst Enemy has been great. That's it.moreless

    • Tony: When you were asleep, we conducted this experiment which we believed would fix the switch between you and Edward. It didn't work but I think I've figured out why.
Henry: Wait, are you telling me we can go back to the way things were, no Edward, no Janus, no missions?
      Tony: If it works, yeah.
Henry: (hugs Tony) You just made my day.

    • Henry: Listen to me. Those guys threatened Tom, Mary and my wife. So you better tell me what the hell's going on.
Raymond: It's my situation. I'll handle it.
Henry: Well you'd better handle it or I'll ... I'll tell Mavis!
      Raymond: Oooooh!

    • Henry: So you know these guys?
      Raymond: Yep.
Henry: Yep? Raymond, after being tortured and trapped on a boat with a trained assassin, I just left my wife in a nice warm bed to warn you about this. So all I get is a yep?

    • Edward: (to Henry via a recorded message on the computer) When you wake up on missions, you can't depend on me or soon enough you'll get us both killed. If that's gonna happen it might as well be now when national security won't be compromised. So I've hired an assassin to kill us.

    • Edward: (to Mavis and Tony) I understand why we're doing it to keep Trumbull from discovering that I'm broken, but sooner or later he's going to figure it out and then he's going to kill me, unless Henry beats him to it.

    • Edward: (on the phone to Mavis) Hey, it's me.
Mavis: Edward, thank God you're still alive. Where is Shaw?
Edward: Target's in the wind. Contact Interpol. But listen to me first. I think I figured it out. I know how Henry and I can be fixed.

    • Shaw: (to Henry) That's too bad. 'Cause while I want this information, I don't really need it. (He speaks into a walkie-talkie) There's a body in here, come pick it up. (He throws the electric cooking ring into the bath where Henry is lying.)

    • Shaw: Who do you work for?
      Henry: Salvation Army.
