  • A rumble in the jungle!

    7.0
Here we have the penultimate episode of My Own Worst Enemy and it was actually pretty good. There was plenty of action, particularly the scenes in Congo and there was a great scene with Edward interrogating the dictator. The stuff about Henry and Angie wanting another baby was OK. This was an episode where the Tom / Raymond character did a lot more than usual which I was glad to see. Mavis was also fleshed out a little more too. There is only the one episode left to go before the axe falls. I hope that it will be a good one.moreless
  • This was another superb, and adventurous episode of My Own Worst Enemy. (Spoilers)

    9.5
This episode of My Own Worst Enemy was both action packed and humorous. I enjoyed the entire episode, and there was never a dull moment. I loved how Henry and Raymond worked together. They made a great team in this episode, and I think there should be more of that. Edward is also starting to act like a jerk again, but Henry makes up for it. Christian Slater is still doing a great job with playing both personalities, and I would love to see more of it. I think the next episode will be great as well, and I hope I will enjoy every moment of it too. Overall, I give this episode, Love In All The Wrong Places, a 9.5 out of 10.moreless
  • another good episode

    9.0
Episode eight. One more episode until the show is cancelled. In this episode, I got the sense that this episode was what the show was trying to do: be an action-adventure, yet have a few comedic moments of the wrong personality in the wrong circumstance. This episode is about relationships. Henry's wife wants another child and Edward is dead set against it. He's not father material, at all. Mavis finally figures out Skinner and Edward's relationship. She warns Skinner to call it off or be burned for it. Skinner still doesn't know exactly what her relationship is to Edward and unfortunately, can't fully talk to him when Henry takes over. Henry knows he's the wrong person to talk to about the matter and while he's still creeped out about the relationship, he can't control Edward. He does tell Skinner the important facts: Edward is still him and Edward, through Henry, has a family. It's wrong. The next adventure for Edward/Henry and Raymond happens to be obtaining a ruthless African extremist and take him to prison. Edward loses his cool a few moments when he sees American hostages, including an old ex-Janis spy, and with the extremist. Edward wants to reclaim the hostages, that have been moved for randsom, but Alastair won't have it. Mavis has a conflict of interest because the ex-Janis spy happens to be her old lover. She pulls out Janis support at the last minute but Henry and Raymond go alone to save the hostages. Henry and Raymond show that they're growing to trust each other in combat and Raymond doesn't think Henry is completely worthless anymore when he and Henry work together to save the day and free the hostages. The ex-Janis spy reveals his past with Mavis and Henry finds out a few personal details about his boss. Both still love each other but Mavis is dedicated to Janis and she can't be with him. She can't answer Henry when he asks if she made the right choice. Throughout the episode, Henry's wife asks him about how he feels about another child but he can't answer because of Edward's feelings on the matter. Finally, Henry decides that it's his decision. He will have another kid. If Edward doesn't like it, too bad. And Edward manages some humilty and still wants to have a relationship with Skinner. Last episode will be next week and that's it. It will just stop. The show was good while it lasted.moreless

    • Norah: Unless you're going to apologize, I'm going to sleep.
Edward: (giving her some flowers) I'm sorry about the interrogation.
      Norah: I just planted those.

    • Mavis: You and Raymond disobeyed a direct order to scrub the mission.
      Henry: Yes we did.
      Mavis: Thank you.

    • (Raymond and Henry are just getting out of the plane)
Raymond: We can do that too.
Henry: You mean I can get free from all this with my family? Get my old life back?
Raymond: No. Walk down the stairs. One foot after the other. I'm hungry.

    • Raymond: Avenger, is the target down? Can you confirm? Over.
      Henry: Which half?

    • Norah: This was way more than standard covert procedure. You practically ordered an invasion.
Mavis: I might have overdone it.
Norah: That wasn't a criticism. Just an observation.

    • Raymond: (to Kobaku) Dry up, you're not going to die. If you did you'd be the first guy to OD on distilled water.
      Henry: Well you didn't just-
Raymond: No. Shot was totally harmless, but you sold it real good. We make a great team, pal.

    • Henry: (to Angie) Do you ever feel like you are two people and one of them wants something and the other one doesn't?

    • Norah: What happened earlier was unfortunate.
Henry: Oh no, I know you thought I was Edward.
Norah: I can't tell you how embarrassed I am.
Henry: No, it's fine, really, it's got to be hard. We do look a lot alike.

    • Angie: Listen. Did you hear that?
      Henry: No.
Angie: Exactly. No whining or complaining or crying.
      Henry: That's very nice.
Angie: Nice? That's awful. Jack went to spend the night at Ian's, Ruthie went to Alison's, didn't call begging to come home.
